Darth_Ewok Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 TIE Tracker - http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/17358 Liberator Starship X28 - http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/17357 I told you guys you would see some Starwars stuff from me! :-) The TIE Tracker is an experimental fusion of the TIE Interceptor and Vader's advanced TIE. It is fast, manuverable and yet strong enough to withstand light asteroid damage. It was developed for the purpose of following rebel raiding parties through asteroid belts and across long distances. It has a state of the art long-range tracking system to help it follow the ships and evade asteroids while maintaining top speed. The Liberator Starship X28 is a second version of my Liberator Starship. I fixed the cockpit (added hinge.) Beefed up the wings, angled the wings, fixed the ugly engines and made the color scheme look a bit better. *Please rate and review both these MOCs on my MOC page, thanks! *sweet* * Quote

xenologer Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 The new Liberator x28 has nicer details But I like the overall Shape of the old version better. It might just be an optical illusion due to the new drooping wings, but the new one feels like the nose is too short and the tail is too long from a front 3/4 view. The first one with the wide horizontal wings gave me the impression of speed and power, like an arcade shooter spaceship, wheras the new version with droop wings gives me the impression that it's stubby and slower, but probably more manuverable. I guess because drooping wings always remind me of the Harrier. Anyhow wing preferences aside the biggest thing I would fix is the gaps in the nose on either side of the cocpit hinge. There is a piece that specifically is designed to fit in that gap but since you probably don't have one in blue, I'd just fill the gaps with either small guns or sensors. at the same time, you could make the cockpit taller so the pilot has better armroom. The wings might be a few studs forward but I didn't shorten the nose any. I actually think the opposite, this one gives the impression of speed and power and the other seems more manuverable, wierd huh? :-D I couldn't find the piece Quote
JoeMI6 Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Nice MOCs, i think the duel would be better if it wasn't set on the surface of the great world 'mousemat' ;-). Nice improvements on the Liberator as well, especially on the 'beefed up' wings. However, I can't help but see resemblances between your TIE Tracker and the TIE Hunter from the Rebel Strike videogame. but i doubt that was intentional. Keep up the good work. ~Joe Quote
