I'm not very good at shaping up a good looking rock formation, but a few days ago I finished a piece I'm almost happy with.

Loosely based and inspired by Lovecraft. Enjoy.

A treasure hunter located an old cave under a mysterious island. Prepared for everything he puts on his diving gear and go on for a hunt. Inside the cave he discovers an golden plate. Before he could look any further, something attacked him out of the dark. He desperately leaves the cave and turn around. Four tentacles coming at him but cannot reach him at all. They are stuck at the entrance of the cave. The creature these tentacles belong to must be huge.

It's a really cool concept, and your rock formation looks great to me... the only problem is the base is too wide, I would either make it a smaller vignette, or make the walls extend to the edges.

I like how the diver is way outside the base of the MOC with all the tentacle-ly goodness.

Nicely Done! Only showing half the creature makes us dubious to what 'the Old One' is.

CC: If you want to improve your rock-form, make the cliff wider at the bottom. This is how erosion occurs in real life.

Hello!

It's a good snapshot of an underwater theme. You can feel the movement in the elements especially as the diver seems to glie freely. :classic: It's an advantage that the tentacle's tip fits exactly in the stud hole.

Oh wow, that's absolutely an amazing MOC! Another fine creation Plissken. default_thumbup.gif I actually don't mind the rock formation, it's the octopus-thingy-catching-the diver effect is really the 'star' of this build.

Thanks you guys for the kind replies and thanks for the advices.

The baseplate was only for support, but I know what you mean. I should have used a smaller one. It's a little bit distracting.

I will keep your advice in mind for my next rock. Will make it look way more real.

Thanks again to all of you.
