DLuders Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 On http://www.dennisbosman.nl/lego/no57.html , Dutchman Dennis Bosman posted a lengthy description, 8 pictures, and the video below of his "Volvo NL12 with Bulthuis/Van der Peet Self Unloader" . It is BIG at 127.5 cm long, 19.2 cm wide, and 30 cm high, and it has a wheelbase of 29.3 cm. I can't paste the hyperlinks to the photos or copy the text on his website, so I highly recommend you click on the link above to see it. On YouTube, he wrote, "Video of my latest MOC; the Volvo NL12 with conveyor belt trailer. It carries about 18 kg of beans and unload itself within ten minutes. Thank to the massive torque of the two connected 9V RC motors the trailer is able to unload the beans (actually potatoes) quite properly. Read the whole story on my website: www.dennisbosman.nl." Captain Becker Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 WOW, that is AMAZING! The truck is very well detailed and the beans (Wich were potatos in this case) were very clever idea, but theres still plenty of them in the truck and in the table. Maby some tiling would make it better, so i guess he needs work on it yet a bit. Anyway, fantastic MOC, now i want to build that too Captain Becker Quote
CP5670 Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 This looks awesome. The conveyor mechanism works very smoothly, and the trailer frame must be pretty robust if it can hold up that much weight. It's also good to see that Dennis is still building stuff. His models were some of the best known Technic MOCs in the 90s and were a source of inspiration to many of us. Quote
Milan Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 It's also good to see that Dennis is still building stuff. I was very happy to see that, too. His last creation and the one before has 1.5 year gap, sadly... But lets hope he will have more models this year Quote
Crtlego Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 i think I saw a video of another of his trucks unloading beans as well. I think it was smaller, not to say it wasn't big in the first place. Pretty impressive. Quote
Paul B Technic Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 This is truly awesome, very well done. Paul Quote
