Sir von Lego Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 Hi @ all, after more than 1 1/2 years I am nearly at the end of a long building process. My new Endor Layout - I know, many of us built it before, even LEGO tried it - will be shown the first time in Cologne, 18.11. - 21.11.2010 at the LEGO Fanwelt 2010. It includes the landing platform, Ewok Village, the bunker, a big fight in front of the bunker and between lots of giant trees and many many more. To give you a little hint what it will look like I want to post some preview pictures. Enjoy them and please feel free to ask questions and give me feedback. greetings Hendrik Quote
L-space Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 (edited) This looks very promissing Hendrik. Looking forward to seeing the full diorama. Have fun in Cologne. Edited September 10, 2010 by L-space Quote
lightningtiger Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 I agree with 'L-space'.....looking good so far.....excellent work on the trees too 'Sir von Lego' - so keep on going 'Sir von Lego' and also......I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Blackicep8ntball Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 Wow, Sir Von Lego, A year and a half is a long time, but your investment is really paying off! This scene is looking fantastic - the way you mottled the ground to look like Endor's surface is fantastic, and the trees are really well done. Keep up the good work, and I'm looking forward to the complete project! Quote
Masked Builder Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 It looks pretty amazing! The work you did on the burning AT-ST looks great! Quote
ThatGuyWithTheBricks Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 Hm, I think it needs more undergrowth/brush. Quote
Sir von Lego Posted September 10, 2010 Author Posted September 10, 2010 Hi, thanks for your answer. In total I built the layout with more than 300.000 bricks, including nearly 60.000 plant leaves in different colours. I will try to build more bushes on the ground...(-; Quote
Masked Builder Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 I just figured out what the clone in the first picture is doing! Quote

I think clones were a little outdated at this time. Quote
Vindicare Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Clone? I think clones were a little outdated at this time. Well, the pic with the stormtrooper with no helmet is the clone trooper head. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 (edited) Well, the pic with the stormtrooper with no helmet is the clone trooper head. Doesn't make him a clone, but the 501st was deployed during the Battle of Endor, and they had a few clones in their ranks. Edited September 11, 2010 by Brickdoctor Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Wow, one and a half years of building! I could just imagine how much time, effort, and resources you've spent to build this massive Endor MOC. A couple of photos won't do justice to this promising creation (it looks very good already), so we hope to see more of the final product. Thanks for sharing this Sir von Lego! Quote

It will have the size of 72 48x48 baseplates... There won't be any more pictures until the middle of november, to keep the interest for the Fanwelt in Cologne high.. Quote
Baylego Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 This is shaping up to be pretty cool . You did a great job on the trees. Can't wait to see the finished product of this diorama! Quote

I'd like to see the size of the room you have this is. Quote
Sir von Lego Posted September 12, 2010 Author Posted September 12, 2010 Why must you torment us first Acpin with Yavin 4 and now you I thought this was a fun website not a tormenting one Hi, it has nothing to do with tournament. Building battle of endor is my dream since over 5 years. After small tries back in 2004/2005 I decided to start a new/last try in 2008 (after I joined the Fanwelt in Cologne 2008). I think many of us Star Wars fans will sometimes build the same/nearly the same scene, because battle of endor is one of the most epic scenes in Star Wars Universe. greetings Hendrik Quote
