SilentMode Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Inspired by The Soup Nazi's claw machine in progress, but I didn't want to hijack their thread. I had a go at creating some arcade cabinets to go with the claw machine, trying to keep to a similar scale. All of these were modeled from images found with a basic search. For anyone who wants it, here's a link to the LXF file. Enjoy! Quote
prateek Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Great job. I like the DDR machine the best. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Very good designs SilentMode! Just like prateek, I like the Dance Revo one too. Quote
SilentMode Posted August 28, 2010 Author Posted August 28, 2010 Thanks very much guys. This might be an excuse to create some stickers and decals, if i have time. Quote
The Soup Nazi Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 (edited) Awesome job, SilentMode! Is it okay if I borrow some of these to put in my arcade? Edited August 28, 2010 by The Soup Nazi Quote

lightningtiger Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 COOL LDD creations 'SilentMode' - some so simple yet very realistic - great work and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
SilentMode Posted August 28, 2010 Author Posted August 28, 2010 Here's a couple more... The second one has mounted guns, could possibly be replaced with BrickArms (or your favourite equivalent). The first one is a little more modern, with the guns attached to a cord (threaded through those grey Technic bricks). This could also have a clip or holster. LDD file for these two. Enjoy! Quote
wooootles Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 Reminds me of the good old days! I saved your lxf copy Quote
legogirl19 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Absolutely love your ideas! It gives me an idea for making my own! Maybe like a Chuck E. Cheese, with skeeball! Quote

Maybe like a Chuck E. Cheese, with skeeball! Thank you both, and anyone else who's watching Here's another model fresh from the bakery: one of my favourite arcade machines, the penny pusher. LXF file I really wanted to make a four-sided or even hexagonal model rather than this one, but this was the easiest to build to the same scale as the other machines. It's not very efficiently built either, but for now it will do. Feel free to improve on it. Quote
The Soup Nazi Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 (edited) Again, nice job on these! EDIT: I made a minifig-scale Guitar Hero Arcade machine, and the "guitars" can be replaced by Brickforge's Reference picture: Edited September 2, 2010 by The Soup Nazi Quote
peterab Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 These are all cool Mocs, but I must admit they're a bit modern for my tastes. Though most cabinets in my day were pretty much all the same shape. Think Space Invaders, Galaxian etc. Quote
SilentMode Posted September 2, 2010 Author Posted September 2, 2010 Very good job on the Guitar Hero machine! Most of the reference pictures I found were of modern cabinets, but it shouldn't be hard to make a more classic one. Quote
