Well I haven't made a Lego Well before but I would use some of these.

That's what I did, with a 2x2 trans-clear blue round piece in the middle and little roof (if I were home I'd take a picture)... but the one noname linked to is a lot nicer.

One of my first sets as a kid, 6090 Royal Knight's Castle, features a very simple well using 4 of those curved bricks and a round 2x2 blue plate. You can use that as a base and then add more detailing.
