castlestrike666 Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 It's not the gold Conquistadores were after, but some highly developed Native technology! Enjoy! This topic is also in the history tread, but it kinda belongs here too - Flickr Set - Quote
Blackicep8ntball Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 (edited) Just... WOW. GORGEOUS landscaping. I love the studs up look and the way it fits perfectly into making the jungle scene feel wild and overgrown. Definitely an inspirational piece - I may steal parts of that big tree for my own use . And the technology instead of gold is a clever twist on the story. All of it is great, but dude, that landscaping is just takes the cake. Out of curiosity, do you know how many trans blue parts you used for the water? Bring more of this stuff to us, castlestrike! Edited August 26, 2010 by Blackicep8ntball Quote
castlestrike666 Posted August 26, 2010 Author Posted August 26, 2010 Thanks for the joyfull comment I appreciate it! I think I used about 250 trans blue bricks 2 x 2 and about 100 1 x 2's. But I'll need more in the future, 'cuz I love the use of water in MOC's! And no problem, new projects are spinning in my head This one was supposed to be 4x this size, with an overgrown temple partially build into a volcano, but this won't continue. That's why I gave it the technological touch to finish what I already had Quote

I was looking at the scene some more, and you did an awesome job with the vegetation too, moving away from the traditional four palm branches on the tree trunks, etc. And yeah, that's a ton of blue pieces, but it takes so many to do a sizeable water scape. PS. A little of topic, but is that a picture of you jamming on the snow in your profile picture? Quote

If you place a 100 blue bricks, you can hardly see them! I definitely need a few 100 more! PS. A little of topic, but is that a picture of you jamming on the snow in your profile picture? It's not a picture of me, but it could be I'm a die hard boarder Can't wait till it's winter again! Quote
