kciR Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 This is one of my fist MOC's I made, after going to Legoland Billund last summer and stepping out of the 'grey' ages (the weren't so dark after all..). I made this one along with a miniland scaled figure and some town stuff. But nevermind, I really wanted a Pirate ship when I was a kid, but never got it though.. So now came the time to build it! But as I just took my old lego's from the attic, I didn't had those prefab hulls, so I decided to maken it microscale. After finishing the ship I found an old Imperial flag and decided to add some action to the scene by adding and Imperial post with a small harbor. Here are some pictures of how it turned out: The Pirates are attacking the Imperials! Close-up from the Imperial post. 'Fire the cannons!' Imperial post Overlook Pirate ship Side Back Last photo I especially like the cannons on the Imperial post (but maybe someone made microcannons before, on the same way as I did). Let me know what you think of it.. Quote
RoryoCox Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 That's really great. The detail you have kept in the fort and ship without compromising there size is well done. The sails and many cannons are great and the fort is irresistible. So I am sure everyone will agree with me that the pirates will blow that Redcoat fort away in seconds Quote
Superkalle Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Wonderful ship. I'm a big fan of Microscale, so this appeals to me! The only thing I don't like is the front sail (called fock in Swedish - yes it's true) Is there any way you can attach that more securly with help of other Lego elements? Quote
kciR Posted August 26, 2010 Author Posted August 26, 2010 (edited) Thanks both :) Wonderful ship. I'm a big fan of Microscale, so this appeals to me! The only thing I don't like is the front sail (called fock in Swedish - yes it's true) Is there any way you can attach that more securly with help of other Lego elements? In Dutch it's called a 'fok' if I'm right. The sail stays quite good in it's place, but I agree with you now that it needs an pole (or how to call it..) I might change it. fred67 Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Fantastic! I'm a big fan of microscale, too, and love it.. especially the ship and the sails. What are those pieces in the cannons at the Imperial Post? And what did you use for the portcullis? Quote
Erdbeereis Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Very nice! I always think microscale MOCs are fun to look at, they definitely have a certain charm. Great work! Quote
Brig. Brick Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 mmm.... I think... micromachines  !!! congrats, great MOC (not literally) Quote
kciR Posted August 27, 2010 Author Posted August 27, 2010 Thanks all :) Fantastic! I'm a big fan of microscale, too, and love it.. especially the ship and the sails. What are those pieces in the cannons at the Imperial Post? And what did you use for the portcullis? I think you only need to know with pieces are the cannonballs. It's the black lever piece. The globe where you normally would put the minifigs hands are the cannonballs, the other side is inside the red brick (with headlight). The cannon (1/2 pin) slides over the lever, a last round 1x1 knob on the end. And there you go! And for the gate I used this piece: Quote
fred67 Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Thanks for sharing the details... and once again, it's an awesome job. Quote
Diaaabo Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 The ship looks lovely! May I suggest trying to add more detail on the sails, like the Jolly Roger symbol? I think it would be great, if you try it out, don't forget to take a picture and show us Quote
Skalldyr Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Ohhh my.... how could I miss this beautifull Moc!?! There are soo much amazing details! Really well done. Both the ship and Fort are outstanding builds!!! Keep up the good work. Quote
