Sail Barge Extras - Contest Entries

Hey guys.

This thread is for posting entries to the contest only, disscussion and other comments should be posted here.

The idea of this contest is to create a minifig to cruise around on the nearly-released Sail Barge.

What I am looking for: The figure has to look at home here, be he a bounty hunter, a thug or some sort of entertainer for Jabba. I am judging at how well it fits in. I.e you could make a really super accurate Republic Commando minifig and say that it's a bounty hunter in clone armour, regardless, he won't look in place. Instead a simple rodian thug with a big gun will look much better and have a higher chance of winning.

Also, I'll add marks if you made your figure specifically for this contest, customs you have already made may still be entered however.

Rules:

- One entry each

- No editing entries once they have been posted

- Decals and Little Armory weapons are the only unoffical Lego that may be used

- Have fun

The Prize: I know it's only little but I heard a lot of you complaining about the absense of C3PO, Bib Fortuna and Chewbacca in the new set. The winner will recieve all three. A single runner up will claim a Bib Fortuna.

Dates: You may start submitting entries whenever you are ready, be sure to have them posted by the 19th May (which marks a year since the theater release of Revenge of the Sith)

I love the concept of this contest. Here's my entry (made for the contest):

Jimmy, the Mandalorian wannabe

He's so tough, he made his own jetpack. :-P

He stands, with his portable cannon deployed on the ground.

You wouldn't like to be on the receiving end of that.

The bits on the side of the cannon can be used as handles and to support it on the ground...

To make a mortar *sweet*

Jimmy flies with his homemade jetpack.

Are those bags under his eyes, or some kind of war paint? Jimmy reveals himself to the public.

In his spare time, he tends to try out Jabba's new weaponry. On Jawas.

I made the jetpack with one of those "T" shaped pieces and some technic pins for the cylinders.

The helmet is just a fireman's one fliped around...

...with and Indian shield on top X-D

Luckily for Jimmy, he was recovering from getting beaten up by a group of gungans when he should have been on the sail barge.

Sagoro Vosa is an outcast, thrown from his home planet of Nox in the Vornax Badlands after starting his profession as a contract killer.

Over the next few years Sagoro began to make a name for himself; gathering up considerable sums of money, and even crossing paths with other great warriors of the time, such as Boba Fett and Sev Montross. He was employed by Jabba at the time of the Sail Barge

I wasn't sure if I could use Brasso or not, so to be safe I didn't for this contest. If it's allowed...do it mentally :-P

Backstory:

Born into a middle-class family, Tergus got bored with an average life, taking out his frustrations in training. He was forced out of school at an early age for bullying his classmates. His parents refused to put up with his behavior, so he ran offworld to find what to do. After nearly a decade on his own, having already earned a reputation as a fierce murderer, Tergus joined the Empire hoping to refine some of his skills. He was quickly expelled. After an encounter with a rival bounty hunter who was a master in close-quarter combat that he barely survived, he decided to take up a secondary weapon. He trained in vibroblades, becoming quite skilled with them, but in a bazaar on a backwater desert planet he found a gem...or rather two of them in an old Jedi lightsaber that had changed hands a million times. It didn't work, but after some work and research he got it working again. Tergus hides it under his cloak, only revealing it in extreme circumstances where his laser doesn't cut it (no pun intended). Having no currency to get offworld, Tergus found work with the local Hutt crimelord--Jabba. Tergus stays in the shadows mostly, and was one of the handful of survivors from Jabba's encounter with Jedi knight Luke Skywalker. He was on the lowerlevel cleaning his blaster at the time of the attack, and by the time he got to the surface his boss was dead and his enemies had fled. He looted as much as he could and made his way back to Mos Eisley. Selling what he looted, he managed to buy fare offworld. His whereabouts are currently unknown.

The picture doesn't do the gun justice really...but it's hard to see it in 3-D right in a picture. I hope the backstory wasn't too boring, I just made it up as I went along :-P

Toll Sivras: Shistavanan Bounty Hunter.

Harking from the world of Uvena Prime, Toll inherited the fighting spirit from his father, and took up a job culturaly accepted for his species. Bounty Hunting. Toll now spends his time chasing down spice runners who haven't done what Jabba said, or playing sabacc in a local cantina.

Shortly after he landed on Nar Shaddaa, looking for spice...
