happymark Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Hi, just curious if there is anyone else like me. I did not know lego when I was a kid. (in my home country, our culture does not have castle/pirates stuff..) but after I had kids and started to buy lego for them, I started to like it! I think most of AFOL played/loved Lego when they were kids (then some had 'DarkAge', anybody else did not play/like lego when they were young, but got addicted later as an adult? just curious to know.. Millacol88 Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 I think there are plenty of people who didn't grow up with LEGO but ventured into it later. It's pretty natural that some people who don't see the "play" value in LEGO as a child will see its potential as a medium for art and creative expression in adulthood. Quote
LegoBuilder Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 I am 35 years old and I only started to buy and build lego recently. I do not really have the chance to play with Lego when I am a kid as Lego is expansive back then. I start to buy Lego when I buy a Duplo set for my 2 year old kid. After then, I start to buy more set for myself then for my kid who is still young to appreciate the beauty of some exclusive set. I also hope I can give my kid lot of Lego sets to play with as he get older and older. Quote
Brick & Mortimer Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 My girlfriend (she's 23) never played with Lego as a kid, because her mother considered Lego a toy for boys . It was only when I got out of my dark age that she became interested in Lego. Quote
