Nick Wolfe Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Another Harry Potter MOC, Hagrid's hut this time. The front. The side. The back. The other side. The roofs come off. Inside the large room. Inside the small room. I hope you like it, tell me what you think. Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 AWESOME yet still room for Hagrid to room.....I must show my son this creation of yours as Hagrid is one of his favorite HP characters ! Great designing - I really like it and I'm a conformist! 'Nick' really I'm a conformist! ! Quote
prateek Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Wow. This is no doubt the best Hagrid's Hut I've seen! I love the exterior, but IMO, the interior needs some work. I think it's too bare. Maybe a table and some potions would work. You should look at some pictures or movie clips for ideas Quote
Oky Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 That looks pretty good, but there's still room for improvement. I don't really like how it looks like two separate houses from the outside, but I'm not sure how you could fix that. Making the round corners that connect the bedroom to the main hut into square corners might do the trick. Also, as prateek said, the interior is too bare. It could use an arm chair, a big wardrobe, one or two shelves with books and stuff, and a cupboard for dishes. A basket for Fang to sleep in would be a nice touch as well, but not necessary. And where's the toilet? Quote
Sirius Black Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Great Work! I just had a few comments. I agree that the interior seems a little large, and the rooms almost seem to big to be to the proper scale. If you watch the movies, the hut is much smaller. I like the addition of the second room area, it is a part that TLG has never included in their sets. Great Job Sirius Quote
fred67 Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 I like it... it's like the one from POA? Too bad the movies were so inconsistent that his hut looked different in each one (more or less). Not saying I don't love the movies, just there's a lot of inconsistency. I could picture Hermione throwing a rock through the window in that side view. Quote
Captain Bayonet Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Nice... But that bed is just WAY to small Quote

Great Job Sirius I'm sure the reason why TLG never added the second room is because there is no second room. By the books desciption of the hut is it's just one big room. Quote
Fires-storm Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Well done on this, even if it is to big it is definitely what Hagrid would have wanted if he could upgrade Also, there is a second room in the hut, though we only get passing glimpses into it. In Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, think thats the one, Hagrid comes out to great them from a room off the main one. Same as in chamber of secrets I think. Quote

By the books desciption of the hut is it's just one big room. Ahh, but TLG just about always bases their sets on the movies, not the books. If you watch the movies, especially PoA, during the Time turner scene, there is most definitely a second room. Sirius Quote
Ceroknight Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 That looks awesome! The interior looks roommy and I like how you have a dragon in there also. One question though..Where is Fang?! Quote
Ravenclaw2010 Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 wow thats great! but isn't it a little big? Quote
Masked Builder Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 And where's the toilet? My question exactly. Quote
