In honor of the new Harry Potter sets, and the new movie, and Harry Potter in general, I built this rendition of the three broomsticks pub. I feel that this is one of my better MOCs. I hope you enjoy it.

Front view.

3broomsticks1.jpg

The back is opened so you can see into the pub.

3broomsticks2.jpg

The side and the back alley, with some chickens.

3broomsticks14.jpg

The slug club listen to one of Professor Slughorn's thrilling tales while some ghosts bicker at the next table.

3broomsticks3.jpg

The bar and someone who got a chair thrown in his face. Bar brawl!

3broomsticks4.jpg

A couple of dueling wizards. And a dwarf who seems to be ashamed of his diminutive stature.

3broomsticks5.jpg

Close up of the front. You can see a cow in the street, and the dueling wizard and the dwarf through the window.

3broomsticks7.jpg

A nice overview of the inside.

3broomsticks6.jpg

Some minifigures,

The two guys in front.

3broomsticks8.jpg

The Slug Club, Harry, Hermione, Slughorn, Cormac McLaggen, and a random Gryfendor girl.

3broomsticks9.jpg

The Ghosts.

3broomsticks10.jpg

Madam Rosmerta.

3broomsticks11.jpg

The Dwarves.

3broomsticks12.jpg

The other wizards.

Please tell me what you think. :classic:

Excellent creation 'Nick' - lots of detail and action in this MOC....I can see why it's called the Three Broomsticks !

That poor guy copping it with the chair......he forgot to bring his wand to change it to a pillow !

Great work and I'm a conformist! ! :sweet:

Excellent work!

Are you planning on finishing the roof, or are you leaving it exposed? Cormac is a good figure, as is slughorn, but i am not quite sure about the dwarves. Were they ever included in the Harry Potter series? Or were you intending them as goblins? The detail on this is very impressive in places, and while i do not remember how accurate to the movie this is, it is a great design.

Good Job!

Thanks!

I am not intending to finish the roof, I simply don't have the pieces and there are plenty other things I want to spend my money on, plus I kinda like the opened back, more of a diorama feel.

And I just put the dwarves in because I had the pieces and wanted to ad to the variety of customers, I think they were mentioned in the books somewhere, oh well.

I'm not much of a HP fan but I must say this is a great MOC. The build of the front exterior is good but the interior is even better - lots of action going on characteristic of a pub. I actually like the unfinished roof as it allows a complete view of the interior but at the same time looks complete when viewed at the front. I also like the ghost minifigs and the printed windows - are those custom printed or from an official set? Overall great job Nick Wolfe!

The windows are from the PoA Shrieking Shack set, they were used for the front of Honeydukes shop.

This is actually an amazingly impressive build, the fight scene and the ghost argument are some of my favorite features  I also like all the attention you gave to the various details to make this a creative and believable scene, so excellent job, and keep bricking! :classic:

I don't know much about HP, but I know a well-done bar MOC when I see one.

The partial front is clever, nice patrons, and a guy getting a chair to the face (Did I miss who threw it?) was funny.

Nice work, Mocer.
