Danpb Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 I think I posted pictures of this before, but I'll start a new thread as I actually have a brickshelf account now :) BrickShelf link (when public): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=442419 The House: Some Furniture for the 2nd floor (not done yet :)) I hope you enjoy - any feedback would be awesome and appreciated. Thanks! Quote
gotoAndLego Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 (edited) Looks great, but why is that third yellow chair facing the stairs? Is that where Harry sits? I especially like your facade work at the top. Are you going to realize this with bricks? Edited August 19, 2010 by gotoAndLego Quote

Are you going to realize this with bricks? Thank you :). Yea, my thinking with the fourth chair was that it is there so when the minifigs would pull out the table for a 4th guest. I realize this is a bit..well, odd to think. I really wanted 4 chairs but was worried it would be too cluttered. As far as realizing it with bricks - I'd love to, but there are a lot of bricks in here that I just don't have. Much of my collection is from 15 years ago. I may give it a go at some point, but the colors will be incredibly basic :) Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 Excellent designing 'Danpb' - but could you're images be a bit smaller please. The kitchen table and sofas are my favorite items, also good job on the exterior too ! I'm a conformist! 'Danpb' I'm a conformist! ! Quote

Ha, yea I was worried about that, but the preview seemed to resize the images. I'll keep them smaller next time ;). Thanks! :) Quote
prateek Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 (edited) Great job buddy. What a coincidence too. I just finished my own modular house in exactly the same dimensions, colours, and interior layout as this before looking at this topic. I guess great minds think alike... I'll put mine up later. BTW, do you have an interior for the second floor yet? Edited August 20, 2010 by prateek Quote

BTW, do you have an interior for the second floor yet? Awesome, prateek - can't wait to see it :D. Great minds indeed ;P. I don't have an interior yet - I just finished the second floor and was dying for feedback so I put up some pictures. I'll either repost or just update this post when the interior is done (with smaller pictures, ha). For the interior I was thinking of using one of the two couches, a bookcase, chair and maybe a side-table with a lamp on it..I'd like to try to do a fireplace, but I may run out of room and settle for a flat-screen TV :) Thanks! Matthammer Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Excellent model. Would be great to see it realised in bricks. Quote
The Yellow Brick Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Looking great, I really do like the furniture Quote
Fires-storm Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Nicely done so far, I like the detail and color choices you've used, and the top facade is very nice indeed Also all of the furniture is very eye-catching Quote
Danpb Posted August 21, 2010 Author Posted August 21, 2010 Thanks everyone - I'd love to get this in brick form eventually..the colors would change drastically though as I really only have old-school colors :) ..could use some Green Grocer pieces though.. hmmm :) Quote
Vincent Kessels Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 That is a great building for a first attempt, but I am missing a roof. Quote
