Im looking to get the Death Star set. looks like a lot of fun.

I looked at the instructions PDF and started wondering if I should get Mini vehicles or build them and place them in or around the death star. what are your recommendations?

I would like two tie fighters to escort the midi tie advanced.

has anyone made a mini scale death star trench?

The closest you can get to scale is a 1x1 plate.

haha ok maybe not quite perfect scale.

im thinking a mini star destroyer might look good circling the death star.

Also the mini MF might look good docked in the hanger while obiwan and darth duel it out off to the side.

Yeah, you're right. I thought the one in the set was an Executor class.

It is.

Just to clarify, I think he's talking about the playset, not the UCS DS2. Otherwise, the trench statement wouldn't make sense since the DS2 already has a trench. (unless of course, everyone knows that and is joking around)

Perhaps this screenshot from the film could help?

Except we don't know how far away from the DS that shot was taken. While Wookiepedia should have the dimensions of all these things, the UCS DS's star destroyer is good to base scale from.

Thanks, the Awing is very chibi and very cute. Anymore scaled down vehicles? I saw one guy made a great midi millenium falcon that can fit one mini fig in the cockpit and the main body opens up. however there are no instructions.

Lego made a one off, mini scale Death Star Trench complete with mini X-Wing and mini Tie Fighters, back in 2003. It was built especially to be auctioned on Ebay with the proceeds going to charity. It sold for quite a few dollars. I'm sure someone on here has a picture of it.
