Sorry for the double posting.

Milans liebherr let me think about the problem, how i could hide the Pneumatic Hoses. And i think i have a good modular solution for my future Projects. Currently it is 20 studs wide and allows a extension of 13studs at each side. The only hook is the width of the outer outrigger box. With its 9 studs width, it looks a bit to heavy for small cranes like the ltm 1050.

now enough of the words, i let pictures talk.

ciao

p.s. no, for the current project it is to big

thanks

the AC40 clone will be 16 studs wide, 18-20 studs high and roundabout 50-55 studs long. it will have the same scale like my 7to mil gl and i hope it could be lifted by the AC40 clone

Great looking and functional outriggers!

They will provide good base for a future (bigger projects).

I agree that they are a bit too wide for small cranes, but for bigger one (like LTM 1100 5.2 and above) they can fit much better.

Will present my outrigger design today, I have been tweaking them for a past 2 days.

So, which outriggers will you use on your crane?

the small one have a very good chance but with 7 studs width is it little bit wide for the scale. the outer box must became a little bit narrower. 1,2m in the original Size are too much.

a big edit:

i think i have found my outriggers for this moc. a stabilizer base of 36 studs. it looks not to big and it could lift the Crane from the Ground. Currently it is not complete integrated, but here are some pics

But for the front outrigger i must now buy Parts.

Very nice i have to say but have you tried a mechanism that will extend the outriggers and deploy right after using 1 function only? :classic: now that is really challenging!!

Great work so far!

will it include PF?

Milan, i think mine will now grow a bit slower. I need the right parts before i could proceed

in a bigger one, i will try it, but not in this little thing.
will it include PF?

this will be a old school, hand driven model. not every vehicle must be remote controlled.

Really odd crane.

I always thought, the strangest thing ive ever seen is this truck with crane:

probably something like this in a 24 stud wide scale. a 2100 would be cool.

Thanks for the link to ditzj.de. I had never seen this site before but it is one of the best truck and crane web sites I have ever seen!

yes, it is nearly unique.

from the W.E.M.B. 109 (Wolf, Effer, Mafi, Biedenbach) We had built only two Cranes. with its 1,8m width, 2,8m height it fits through the most Factory doors.

so i'm not the only fan of ditzj.de!...

when's he gonna start updating again?

I am eager to see that, too!

It is one of the best sites regarding machinery, imo.

It says june or july on the frontpage... so he's nearly two months overdue!

It's got some great trucks on there and some nice knuckleboom cranes too, all documented really well.

btw efferman your job looks like fun! i'd like to do something in that field but i fear my BSc product design may not suffice.....

New prgress on your crane

I don't think this would work well when some weight is on the turntable, IF that 24t gear is used for a powering the whole turntable. I mean, the axle on that gear will twist itself, right?

the axle has only two studs space to twist, but i agree with you that it could be a problem. it is only an idea and it is not tested till now and currently is the 8043 mod more important for me.
