I Scream Clone Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 The Collector Unfortunately young Kathleen has stumbled upon the hidden sanctum of Ichabod Salacious Covington III! Witness the terror of the Collector and his anomalies! Professor Covington III had often been known amongst high society as somewhat of an eccentric collector, but none truly knew his deepest secrets. He had spent many years making sure he was first to recover ancient artifacts and unknown alien species before the world at large came to realise of their existence. Is he a savior of modern man? Or just a madman? Ably assisted by his faithful servants Nigel Galoshes and Hymie, the alien-rhino hybrid from places unknown. They have worked together gathering exotic species. Professor Covington III is most proud of his attempts at creating a workforce out of the strange squid-like beings he has termed Squidpunk. Look on if you dare..... Lots more on my Flickr and MOCPages Cheers ISC. Quote

XimenaPaulina Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Great MOc as usual ISC! I love the greebles and details you did, but definitely the highlight of this one is the mermaid aquarium. Impressive work as always. Quote
RoryoCox Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 As others have said the best part of this is the mermaid tank, it looks great. I do like the floor with the mix of tiles and studs. The door and tentacles are a funny addition . Great, Thanks for Sharing Quote
Josh Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 (edited) This is very cool indeed ISC! What do I like? The bookcase looks ace. The Tentacles out the door Mermaid tank Dislike I want more :) The robot helpers maybe could be done in different colors to ake the parts stand out more..I mean, just not so much black maybe. Can you get brown tracks? That would look ace I reckon. Looking forward to seeing this guys house one day. I can only imagine what he has stashed in the basement and hidden up in his attic. I Scream Clone Posted August 14, 2010 Author Posted August 14, 2010 Thanks a lot guys, I had a great time trying Steampunk and will probably have a crack again soon. Next up though something a little different (but not too much) Quote
Mr McGow Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 What a superb MOC I Scream Clone. What impresses me the most is the attention to all the small details - for example the white book at 45 degrees in the bookcase, Craniac's mounted head on the desk and the ladder leaning up against the tank. The mermaid tanks is probably the best done tank I've ever seen in a MOC. Did you use this part Panel 6 x 6 x 9 Curved Top in trans clear for the front pane? I also admire the way you have used the trans-red color to give the 'tentacle door' room an ominous red glow in the background. I hope "young Kathleen" turns out to be the space police chick in disguise. Ichabod needs to have his evil butt busted! Quote

Yes it is the trans clear curved window piece from Town Plan. Sinister tentacles on! Quote
Legostein Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 Hello! A treasury of ideas to disover you are presenting to us. The bookshelf is really nice with those tiles as books exactly fitting into the grid, and I appreciate all the nice characters you assembled for the scenery. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
