juergs Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Hey guys, its been a while, but I thought I'd show you my latest project, a miniscale castle. loosely modeled after the medieval fortresses on the Rhein, I tried to design it as realistically as possible without making it look boring. the gate, which I am particularly proud of: and the aerial view, which shows the ramps and passageways within the walls. To accurately depict the odd angles that really characterize the German castles, I angled the keep: I would love some feedback/criticism! Let me know what you think! fred67 Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 It's great... I really love minis, and two things in particular about your model (that you addressed): the gate, and the off-angle building. Interesting use of 1x1 tiles for battlements, too, as opposed to the usual "clip" method. Bravo, juergs! Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Now that's CUTE and very CLEVER design 'juergs' - I too feel the gate is a fantastic idea - I'm a conformist! 'juergs' I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Baylego Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 This is a great castle juergs! I really like the gate and all of the odd angles of the buildings inside. Quote
Artanis I Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Awesome! The gate is excellent, but it looks like someone tried to bite their way through... Quote
