fred67 Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Hi, not too big on the sci-fi stuff, but I built a ship a while back and liked it, so I've kept it for quite some time (at least two years). Now it's time to reclaim the parts, so I took a few parting pictures and thought I'd share them. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Not bad for a non-Sci-fi fan, actually I think it really looks good. I love the sleekness and smoothness of the design. Great job fred! Quote
Sisco Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Nice looking ship. It has that classic almost Star Trek look to it, that I find massively appealing. Too bad you need the parts for something else, but it's had a good run. Quote
Artanis I Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 I know it's too late now, (nice MOC btw!) but what would make this really cool is if the back part was removable so you could have a standalone ski vehicle speeder thing (somewhat resembles the cockpits from Deep Freeze Defender) and a big engine/guns add-on. That would make it perfect for 80s sci-fi/action cartoons! You could easily have a fleet of these in different colours with slightly different clip-on rear sections! Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Great attack craft 'fred67' - I really like the cockpit design as too ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote

It's such a good idea that I had forgotten I already did it! It's been sitting on the shelf so long, I forgot! She's getting a reprieve for now... until the very last minute that I need one of those cones... Edited August 10, 2010 by fred67 Quote
KDog Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Sweet! Yeah, it'll be a shame to see her go. Quote
Randal Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 You could always rebuild it in LDD, though I think you'd need to open up Lego Universe mode (found in the LDD section of this forum) Quote
Toa_Of_Justice Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 (edited) Nice spacecraft, fred67! I really like how you made the front and back separable. As Randal said, I also think you should preserve your MOC in LEGO Digital Designer. Perhaps you could design other modules in that program too. By the way, has anyone mentioned that your MOC resembles a Y-wing fighter from Star Wars? -Toa Of Justice Edited August 13, 2010 by Toa_Of_Justice Quote

Legostein Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 Hello! Nice ship! The pull-apart-technique is nice and reminds me to the Blacktron II series which I liked much. Maybe you't like to replace the last of the 4x4 dishes of each rocket booster with a transparent-red one to induce some engine glowing. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
