Sirius Black Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Hi everybody, I'm Sirius Black (or at least that is what you will know me as ) I am brand new to the world of Lego forums, and am a avid collector of Star Wars and recently Harry Potter and Pirates. I am an avid reader and enjoy the classical art of Debate. I became interested in joining this site based on the mafia games thread, particularly the Hogwarts one ( great job on it Sandy ) , and hope to participate in a few in the future . I run a eBay business under the user id Jfeaton, and though i do not have anything currently for sale, i am designing three Portugese frigates, and will upload some images here once i finish with the sails and stern. It seems that the majority of people don't really like the theme for some reason, or just like the exclusive parts. Wonder why? What's are the tags of citizen, knight, etc, for? Is that something related to number of posts? Quote

It seems that the majority of people don't really like the theme for some reason, or just like the exclusive parts. Wonder why? Well, I think most of the LEGO fans see the theme as an expansion to their City or Castle collection. The sets were really useful part packs, expanding their cities with tons of new minifigures and upgrading their castles with new pieces and colours. But over the couple of years, the amount of LEGO Harry Potter fans has risen here on Eurobricks. Quote

I have to say that the actual Hogwarts Express is rather disappointing, and probably is a reason why some people don't like the theme. It is a pity that the model designer for Harry Potter Years 1-4's rendition of the train couldn't be used, it actually looked good. But i definitely like the Castle. Who doesn't? Quote
