BrettBrick Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Hi My name is Brett and like most of you I love Lego. Getting back into it now I have a daughter, but really it is for me! I have many of my original 1975+ kits, instructions and most parts. I started building them up and my daughter actually prefers these to the new ones. I am a City collector, including trains, planes and automobiles. I am just looking to purchase my first Modular building ( Fire Station ), these all look fantastic. We do have a city layout, no raods though as they get in my daughters way. I look forward to the following years of Adult Lego, and being part of this lego forum. We are off the Canberra this weekend for BrickExpo, so can't wait to really get the bug. Quote

Blackicep8ntball Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Wow enjoy BrickExpo! Sounds like you're diving right back into the Lego world. I think your daughter has good taste in Lego - some of those older models really take the cake. Anyway, welcome to Eurobricks, and welcome back to the world of bricks! Quote
BrickTango Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Welcome! (Can newbies say that?) Maybe I'll see you at the BrickExpo Cheers, Quote
WhiteFang Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Welcome to Eurobricks. Glad to have a fellow City collectors joining in. Did you check out the Classic-Town.net website? If not, I am sure a collector like yourself whom is interested in Town and City will be keen to find out more. Enjoy your stay. Lastly, being able to attend a LEGO related convention or show is one of the best experience ever. Quote
BrettBrick Posted August 6, 2010 Author Posted August 6, 2010 Thank you for the welcomes. I have been seaching the Bricklink store for a few things, seems beter than ebay. Looking at these Hard to find items, mm they look good, but in OZ they are very expensive, and so is postage from US or Europe. May need to make some friends here to help me out!! Thanks BrettBrick Quote
BrettBrick Posted August 7, 2010 Author Posted August 7, 2010 Hi Well we arrived in Canberra today to visit the Brick expo tomorrow. Not sure who is more exicited? Visited Cockington green today and my daughter loved the train ride and pushing buttons, she can't wait to see the trains at the Lego expo so I hope there are some. Quote
