Jameson42 Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 (edited) So, I was looking at Lotso's arms recently and thought, "Wow, those sure look a lot like feet..." Here's the result! I call it "Goldilotso" or "This bed is too small!" Comments and Constructive Criticism welcome! Update (09/11/2010): I'm not sure how it slipped my mind to post this here, but I created a large vignette featuring this bed about a month ago. It was my first MOC featured on TBB, and I had a lot of fun building it! So, here's the MOC, titled "This little bear has a pituitary problem!": Edited September 12, 2010 by Jameson42 Quote
Dunjohn Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 Ha! I just got Lotso today and I was also looking at his arms and thinking there had to be other uses for them. This looks great, though, nice work! Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 This is where Papa's bed would be just right ! Excellent 'Jameson42' just excellent - the bed is a good solid design and what can I say about our friend Lotso eh ? Great work 'Jameson42' and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Oky Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 No wonder Lotso is always so grunpy! To be honest, I never thought his arms looked like feet, but looking at this MOC, they do work quite well as sort of rabbit feet. Nice work. I'm especially impressed by how you managed to hide his ginormous body inside that bed somehow. Quote
Jameson42 Posted August 1, 2010 Author Posted August 1, 2010 I'm especially impressed by how you managed to hide his ginormous body inside that bed somehow. Smoke and mirrors! Seriously, though... Yeah, it took a while to figure out how to build the bed around him without making it too big. Lotso is just hanging from the tiles that surround his head. His legs actually reach about 2 plate thicknesses below the bed rail. Can't see it unless you're looking head-on from the side. The main photography issue is actually the "feet". From most angles you can see the thumbs, and that kinda ruins it. Quote
Delta 38 Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 (edited) That's a good use of Lotso's arms that I haven't actually thought about. It's a shame that the angle is needed to create the illusion, but it's a good idea. Edit: one thing that might improve the look is perhaps to have a bulge in the middle. The bed looks a bit flat. Darth Yogi Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Cool, thats a great use for the arms, nothing I would ever think of. Great job Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 (edited) Haha! Nicely done Jameson42. His arms do look like feet in your MOC, pretty clever imagination you got there. I can't seem to imagine what Lotso's thinking with his creepy wide grin while lying in bed... Edited August 2, 2010 by KielDaMan Quote
Svelte Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Cute, although he does look strapped down. Someone fetch a featherduster! Let the torture commence! Quote
Oky Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Hehe, yeah, I agree. Since he has such a big belly (and apparently big feet too), the comforter needs to buldge. Quote
user Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 I'm especially impressed by how you managed to hide his ginormous body inside that bed somehow. I imagine he's quite a bit smaller without arrms. But nice little creation It took me a while to realized what you actually used for his feet, Very creative use for such an odd part. Quote
TheWarden Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 I'm bringing this back, since you built a vignette around it! http://www.flickr.com/photos/jameson42/4858195131/in/photostream/ I love the new vig. Mama bear was funny, but there is loads of fun details in the room: toys, furniture, the wall treatment / chair rail, window sill... Well done, Jameson42. Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Now that made me laugh, excellent job! Quote

I can't believe I forgot to post the vig here! I have now updated the original post with the vignette. Quote
