lego-maniac Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 hi all ! I want to show you my last moc Tribute to Jules Verne. As I don't succeed to decide which book I'll try to Moc, I moc 4 books It's a 16X16 vig 20,000 leagues under the seas. It is a mini scale vig of the attack squid on the Nautilus. everything is represented inside of an aquarium Journey to the Center of the Earth. This is the attack of the snake Around the World in 80 days. Phileas and Passepartout leave the Reform club or come to bet they would return to the club in 80 days after traveling around the world Earth to the Moon another mini scale vig. hope you'll enjoy : this is still in WIP I have to put the real minifig on the vig. Tonight is the holiday therefore moc wait 20 days before being finished! hope you'll enjoy ! Comments are welcom to improve the moc ;) Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 AWESOME tribute to such a great writer who had vision ! Next H.G. Wells ! Cpt. Nemo's sub is the coolest part of the whole vig - excellent designing 'lego-maniac' and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Fires-storm Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Well done indeed mate, when I saw that sub my jaw just dropped, currently I am attempting to find it Well done again, and an amazing tribute to a fabulous writer! Quote
Blackicep8ntball Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Haha! I love this! Great blend of Lego and Literature. That picture of the sub through the bubble canopy is fan-freaking-tastic. Great work on the whole thing, but that sub... wow. Loving the center of the earth portion too. And btw, the sub is really cool. Quote
Smack Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 I'm not sure what else you have to work on because this already looks like a pretty fantastic MOC! I love the 20,000 Leagues scene and the rock/cave structure build the most. Please post the finished product! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 What an excellent tribute to Jules Verne. I really love how you did each individual scene, I think you really captured the overall essence of each book. The interior of the sub is great, and I also like how you cleverly used the cross section of the technic connectors to simulate stars. Quote
sok117 Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 1 word... awesome, I love the squid attack in the aquarium pure genius. Jules Verne would be so proud. Quote
TheWarden Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Wow! This is awe-inspiring. Very creative with a literature tie. The bottom with the domes... I was thinking that was all there is, yet it becomes my favorite part. The stars and the moon are clever too. Sorry no critiques as it looks great. The top of the building, maybe, looks a little rough or not right to me though. Maybe a rework of that or some different architectural roof edge treatment might look better. A different style of parapet, maybe smaller trans-clear or open windows(attic). Hope to see more from you! Quote
Flare Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Wow! This is extremely impressive! I would like to see more of these "inspired" MOCs from you Quote
CP5670 Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Very cool ideas. I especially like the sub diorama as others have mentioned. Quote
Plastemaurer Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 This is a really great MOC. Using technic bricks with axleholes to simulate stars is pure genius Quote
Ro13ey Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 I love the plant underground. Keep up the good work! Quote
