Cadder Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Greetings, all Just thought I'd introduce myself... I'm Cadder, I live on the Gold Coast (Queensland, Australia) with my wife and kids, having recently moved up from Sydney. I've been a Lego fan since I got my first set for my 5th birthday (some 38 years ago). (it was this one:) I sold my original one (along with a lot of other classic sets :() as a teenager, to fund the purchase of this one: I've been through an extended dark period, and have just started organising (and vastly expanding) my Lego collection... My favourite themes are Classic space, and I'm really enjoying the Modular Buildings line. Call me slow (maybe it's an AFOL thing) but I've also (and only recently) gotten interested in Lego trains. (there goes all my spare $$$...) I'm wondering if there are any LUGS (or even friendly AFOLs) on the Gold Coast, or nearby in sunny SE Queensland? Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Welcome to Eurobricks Cadder! Glad to hear you've come out of your dark ages. Enjoy the site! Quote
Blackicep8ntball Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Ah too bad about that old classic transport. I don't have the whole set, but I know I've got those old wheels laying around somewhere. Not a bad trade in though, that technic set was the one to have back in the day. Well, welcome to Eurobricks. I don't know about any Australian AFOL (AAFOL? ) but there is a sizeable Australian minority on EB, so hopefully someone will hook you up. Good to have you around! Quote
