MIDAS Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 (edited) Hello, I'm MIDAS. I've been obsessed with lego for the best of 10 years, and would fall under the category of a TFOL. I'm interested in MOCS and Vignettes, and have made one for the Epic Scenes Competition but missed the deadline! Hopefully I can upload it separately from the contest at some point but i wasn't sure if that was allowed yet! I've used this site for about a month, and used other sites such as Brickset for much longer. I own about 75 LEGO sets from as early as 1989, and have a big variety of themes. I prefer City, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Prince of Persia and many others! My Brickset profile My Sets So, please, let me know if i'm allowed to just upload my Vignettes in a topic! XimenaPaulina Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Hello MIDAS and welcome to Eurobricks. I'm pretty sure you can post your MOCs/vignettes here, just make sure they are on the right subforum and you follow the site guidelines. I think these would help you: Member Guidelines Index of Tutorials Enjoy! Quote
Blackicep8ntball Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Good to see ya, MIDAS, and welcome to Eurobricks. I'm not going to lie, you've got the Eldorado Fortress and I'm jealous. I've wanted that set since it came out, and by waiting till now I'm going to have to pay quite the premium to buy it. Nice little collection there btw. You've also got that mini Slave I and Jedi Fighter. I've been looking at buying that set - how do you like it? As for the vignette, you can most certainly post it! Just start a new thread over in the Star Wars forum and deeplink some photos of it. Looking forward to seeing it. Quote
BrickClick Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Welcome MIDAS! Enjoy the forums and I can't wait to see some of you're MOCs! Quote

It's mainly there though! The mini's are very cool of course but don't go overboard - no more than 10 pounds or associated currency i would say - and if you do get them i'd recommend getting that whole wave because you can build a TIE bomber which beats all the other minis in my opinion! The MOC is on it's way! Quote
Big Cam Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 You have a nice looking collection. I hope you enjoy the forums!! Quote

Anyway Good to see you in here and hope we will see some of your MOC`s and have a great time in here. (Wait, i said that already). Captain Becker Quote

Captain Becker Yes, well there is quite a long story to the MIDAS thing. It was a plot element of the TV Program 'Heroes' which i used to really like so I used it as a name there and it pretty much stuck. I also played him in a school play so i never realized how apt it was. My favourite theme - well, to me the creator sets are always very much worth their money, licensed sets usually have a bit more to them, but usually for a higher price. The line that has given me the nicest set so far is Castle, with the brilliant Medieval Market Village - but it's the only 2007 Castle set I have! But apart from that I do like Indiana Jones and City very much! It's a shame IJ seems to have been discontinued, there were a few more sets that could've been done! Quote
