Lego_Hero Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Hey everyone, I've finally gotten around to creating a Flickr page and uploading most of my heroes from the Protectors Universe. The Protectors are a superhero team I came up with in the 80's using Lego minifigs. After surviving the Dark Ages, this team has grown exponentially over the past few years. Heres the link to my Flickr page: http://www.flickr.com/photos/lego_hero/ This is not complete by far, but it will give you an idea of where I'm going. If you'r not into it, no biggie, but comments are appreciated. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 (edited) I posted this preview pic for the benefit and interest of others. Those are pretty neat collection of custom superheroes, good job on these Lego_Hero. I love the simple but effective design of each individual hero/heroine. The way you combined/mixed-matched existing MF pieces together with your custom ones to create your own legion of superheroes is really impressive. I admire your creativity and moreso for realizing it in brickform. Among your heroes, I like Lady Lightning so far, she looks cool to me. I think it would be better if this was posted in the Minifig Customization Thread due to the nature of your MOC. Edited July 28, 2010 by KielDaMan Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 (edited) Moved over to the MCW. That's better! Thanks for moving this to the MCW where it righfully belongs. BTW, I think you have family in the Protectors, Peppermint. @ Lego_Hero: I'm totally impressed with your wide imagination. I very much enjoyed looking at all your superhero creations and reading the story behind each of them. You seriously should make a comic book out of this. Edited July 28, 2010 by KielDaMan Quote
Lego_Hero Posted July 28, 2010 Author Posted July 28, 2010 ACK! How embarrassing, I've been moved! I have to explain because I'm one of those guys that thinks, "Geez, doesn't that guy know that this is not the place for that question/post?" Originally, I opened a Flickr account just so I could show off the science lab. When I saw how easy it was, I uploaded almost all of my other pics as well. When it came time to post here, I forgot that my Flickr's focus had changed from action set to MOC minifig collection. As I update, I'll remember to post here since most everything else will be minifig related anyway. KielDaMan: Thanks for the positive words! This may sound wierd, but the "Protectors Universe" is based on an imaginary comicbook company. With all the adventures and line-up changes these guys have been through, I thought a few years ago to chronicle things as though this were a comicbook line. As I put more information on Flickr, you'll see what I mean. Quote
user Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Sorry for being such a n00b but where can I find the descriptions that KielDaMan was talking about? Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Sorry for being such a n00b but where can I find the descriptions that KielDaMan was talking about? Go to Lego Hero's flickr page, link is on the first post. There's separate folders with heroes in there, the description is in each hero pic. Quote
