Brickdoctor Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 As for Padme in the Infiltrator, I'm really not seeing it. There are three figures in the fig-lineup on the front, and none of them are blue nor look like a Padme outfit to me. One of them is clearly Maul, but as for the other two, who knows. They don't have the tan robes of Jedi, so I honestly have no guesses. I'm also wondering if they're putting the Greedo kid in the Podrace set. It certainly looks like it, since there is a short guy with a green, weird-looking head, but it's not typical of them to put such obscure characters. Maybe Padme is in that set, since there's a fifth figure, but also maybe not. We'll see. The Falcon is certainly ANH; looks like Vader, Han, Luke, Chewie, Obi-Wan, and Leia. A good classic lineup to come with the Falcon, in my opinion. What other 'figs could you put in? I suppose it could be Maul, Sidious, and probe droids x3. Actually, this would be the perfect set to finally reintroduce Padme-the remake of the only other sets she's in. I'm going to agree with that. Kinda dissapointed they didn't put TK-421 in there, though. I'm pretty sure that's Obi-wan in the podrace set. We'll just have to wait for better pictures I guess. Er, I don't see that either. Quote
augustus Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 I'm pretty sure that's Obi-wan in the podrace set. We'll just have to wait for better pictures I guess. I agree, I think he has a blue lightsaber Quote
prateek Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 What's the point of another Sith Infiltrator? It's not like it's a very iconic ship or anything. I like the Podrace set, but the boxart is too much in perspective, so I can't really make out any details. My favourite summer set is the MF though. It looks so awesome! Quote
brickbuilder Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Is it just me, or does the MF look the same as 4504? Quote
The Legonater Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 That's too bad about that last page. What we cans ee is great though- very clear figs on the Falcon, and the Cruiser is good enough to guess. The rest are too blury for my sights thoguh. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 I agree, I think he has a blue lightsaber While I do agree that it looks like there is a blue lightsaber, I think that could actually just be the background of the blue figure box and no lightsaber at all. Since it makes no sense whatsoever for it to be Obi-Wan, I'm still betting that it's Qui-Gon. Obi-Wan wasn't at the podrace. Quote
user Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 I'm glad that we finally get a new podrace set but I'm also kinda disappointed that this time we only get two racers. I was really hoping for an updated Gasgano or a new podracer never done in lego, like Klegg Holdfast or Teemto Pagalies. But what I'm wondering is what the heck is that minifig in the bottom left corner supposed to be? It looks like it has green hands and a brickbuilt head of some sort. Quote

StoutFiles Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Is it just me, or does the MF look the same as 4504? It literally looks exactly the same, giant cockpit and all. I feel like I'm the only one not excited by that screenshot. Quote
brickbuilder Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 (edited) It literally looks exactly the same, giant cockpit and all. I feel like I'm the only one not excited by that screenshot. I'm still pretty excited, because I missed out on all the MFs for some reason, but this one hopefully should at least have some new features. EDIT: $10 says the quad-laser cannons are flick fire missiles! Edited December 24, 2010 by brickbuilder Quote
Clone OPatra Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 That would be too bad, since we'd get 2 Qui-Gons, and no Obi-Wan. Two Qui-Gons? Which set has the other Qui-Gon, the Infiltrator? Right now, it doesn't look like it to me… Quote
SavageBane Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Hey, guys! I've been reading this forum for a REALLY long time and I decided to finally get an account. I just wanted to talk about the Dathomir Speeder. I went to the Savage Opress screening and the Dathomir Speeder is not in the preview on starwars.com (that's actually the fanblade starfighter from the old clone wars series but the wings are just closed). The Dathomir Speeder is actually a brand new ship featured when Asajj travels to the male village to pick out Count Dooku's new apprentice. She then takes Savage (with no shirt) back to the nightsisters. The Anakin is probably because Anakin and Obi-Wan go back to the village later to learn more about Savage. Quote
sok117 Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 THANK YOU FOR THE PICS!!! The new MF looks a lot like the last system scaled one, but I missed out on it and therefore greatful to get one. MF: Vader, Luke, Ben, Chewy, Han, and someone done completely in white, probably the princess, sticker saying new characters, so I would guess there done up with nice pupils and new prints! Republic Frigite: looks like a Kaminoian, Anakin, Yoda, a clone (maybe two),and someone done in either gold or sand-coloured, perhaps a jedi or C-3PO the rest of the pages are way to blurry, I can see three figs in the Dathomir speeder, Assajj, probably Anakin, and maybe Savage, there are at least 5 figs in the pod racers, one is either Obi or Qui-gon, then you can guarantee anakin and Sebulba, small rodian and someone else who I don't know, or probably know just can't see. Thats all I can see. Don't think it was a good idea to make both SW and POTC boxes blue, they look similar. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Don't think it was a good idea to make both SW and POTC boxes blue, they look similar. I honestly don't think there will be much confusion. Even daft parents would be able to tell apart a pirate (Jack Sparrow) and a Clone (Captain Rex) on the boxart, and the words 'Star Wars' and 'Pirates of the Caribbean.' Besides, the sets themselves have nothing in common. Quote
Zzz Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 from Brickset: 7877 Naboo Fighter 7879 Hoth Echo Base I didn't see that coming. They're going all out on Episode I. -- Falcon looks great with great minifigs. It will be better and more stable but share the look of 4504, which is ok for me. Wookie (...) Ewok Attack should be Scouty and Ewoky, not very Rebely, too bad. Sith Infiltrator looks amazing. The last minifig has that "special" tag on it, I assume. I hope for Qui-Gon. Naboo Fighter might be System or midi, who knows. The last System was ok, so I would be happy with that. Echo Base... Now that's a surprise. What strange collection might it be? We've got a lot so far. But I am not against a real base with a hangar and medical room. I just hope they return to the better 4500 speeder design-wise. Or make a new one from scratch. Would highly appreciate. Quote

The Naboo Fighter is a good set to make but seriously that means another decent PT or CW set wasted for another Lame Hoth Echo Base set and most ones aren't even of the Base themself Quote
Ritz Brick Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 I noticed on the Podracer box that on the bottom left of the box itself, there appears to be a Pit Droid. That would make sense. and maybe TLC isn't going to consider it a minifig? Quote

Didn't see that coming either... I wonder if it's another N-1 starfighter. As for the Echo base: Are we getting a proper base for once, this time? ~ General Magma Quote
Ceroknight Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Fantastic pictures, though these are just preliminary pictures, I can already see me getting two or three of these, And is it safe to assume me are getting a ANH Falcon? Quote

This could turn out to be a good year. Thank you, Wave 2! I'll probably pass on the N-1 since I have the UCS and 2007 ones already. Hopefully the base will be a true base, and yes, we desperately need a bacta tank. Even if we all know how they'll build it. The number is good news, when I first saw it I was afraid it would be the DS's replacement that would be out of my budget for a while, but since it isn't a 10xxx, that shouldn't be. Hopefully, the MF won't be the only OT big-ticket item, though, because I want a base with some effort put into it. and 7958 Star Wars Advent Calendar So it is true. This should be around $30, so I might get it. I hope it's a mix of themes and not all CW, though. Quote
The_Box Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 What would be in this advent calender? anything real useful? I can't see a decent Star Wars advent calender being in the $30 USD range if there are at least 5 or 6 figures in it Quote

Brickdoctor Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 What would be in this advent calender? anything real useful? I can't see a decent Star Wars advent calender being in the $30 USD range if there are at least 5 or 6 figures in it I'd assume some classic minifigs like Stormies and Rebel pilots mixed in with the ever-present clones and B1s; and this year's City calendar had a bunch of MINIs, which translates well into a vehicle-centered theme like SW. Small impulse-style builds could include speeders like the Daily Mirror promos, and I wouldn't be surprosed if one of those was another STAP. For us to get what many would consider a good base, it needs to be in the 10xxx range. I predict a rehash of the old Echo Wall set. Unfortunately so, and the missing OT set is in that price range, too. ($40-$75; we already have the big ticket item and small set) I also hope they at least include a Dack minifig, and that they finally revert to a grey T-47. Quote
