Toth Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 I don't know if this question was discussed before, but it's something I asked myself lately. I'm an Old 33years old Lego buyer and I remember buying a set for a new building before. For exemple, I could buy a forestmen's 6077 "Forestmen's River Fortress" just because of the tower in the tree and all the stories i would imagine/play with it. This, even if I already had all the previous forestmen sets and then, all the different type of forestmen possible. So I was buying a set without looking at the "Minis" that would come in double, but more looking at the buldings. Lately, I have to say i buy a set exclusively for the minis. the buildings, space ships and all what can turn arround is important still, but not essential. I prefer a set with amazing minis and poor buildings/vehicles than the opposite. And the Minis only make me choose what set I will buy or not. An exemple: My "worst" purchase was the 7661 (Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive Booster Ring) only to have Kit fisto...at this time he was only in this set. And even if I had no interest in this starfighter's Hyperdrive, I bought it stupidly... This is since TLG is doing an amazing work on Minis. Is it good? is it bad? I really don't know. But i definitly saw big changes in my way to buy Lego sets. I'm curious to see what you think and if you feel the same? Do you buy a set more for: 1- Minis 2- Buildings and Vehicles 3- 50-50 Quote
