Masked Builder Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 The instruction manual looks the same size as the Pirate tanks one. Is it? Masked Quote
Inconspicuous Posted August 17, 2010 Author Posted August 17, 2010 I don't own the Pirate Tank, so I can't compare, but it measures about 11 x 8 1/4 inches or 27.5 x 20.5 cm, which I believe is one of Lego's standard sizes. It's a bit taller than the catalogs. Quote
Oky Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Good review. I liked it a little better after reading your review, and after getting it last week, I must say it's a very nice set. The minifigs are great, and the speeder looks very accurate and sleek, almost like a professional MOC. It's always good to get a civilian vehicle like this once in a while. Even though it's pricey, I can recommend it. The instruction manual looks the same size as the Pirate tanks one. Is it? Yes, I just compared them, they are the same size. Why did you want to know? Masked Builder Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Yes, I just compared them, they are the same size. Why did you want to know? I might be mailing the set (no box) so I wanted to know the size. Diaaabo Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 I got this set recently, mostly for the vehicle and Cad Bane. I will be reviewing it soon, but I can start by saying how disappointed I am at Cad Bane. No back or leg printing whatsoever? Sure, he wears play clothes, but still... I think Lego could have done better, since this minifig was so expected. As for the speeder, it's great to have some more civilian vehicles. Those flick fires don't look so great, but with a simple mod we can just take them out and leave the front lights like they should be. They do work fine though. I complain about the stickers too, especially the wedges. And I noticed you have each back thruster differently on that sideways 2x3 plate Great review and great pictures Quote
Corvus Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 I got the set yesterday, and I have to say, I'm liking this set more than I thought I would. Sure it's pricey, but I noticed that TLC was more generous with parts than it usually is. For example, some studs were topped off with tiles, and it felt like a more solid set than usual. I dunno, maybe it's just me. As for the figures, they're great. The commandos are great (although they need black heads...I have enough clone heads). Cad is also neat- I was surprised by his hat. It was more oval-shaped than I was expecting. Quote

Hikaru755 Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 I bought this set and I am really happy with it, especially with the Minifigures, but I noticed something VERY strange: This Little Technic piece, which is in your first pieces photo right next to the steering wheel, came in OLD light grey with the set! Did this happen to anyone too? Quote
