roamingstop Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 (edited) So definitely not my work - but saw this on Engadget... and well its pretty nifty. http://www.engadget.com/2010/07/19/transformable-wall-e-gets-recreated-with-some-love-lego-and-diy/ Just makes me think poor old Wall-E is getting old Link to original source: http://sites.google.com/site/nxtwallet/ Edited July 19, 2010 by roamingstudio Quote
DLuders Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 (edited) The Lego NXT-based Wall-E that you featured (shown in the two top pictures below) is a bit different than the Power Functions-based Wall-E shown in this Eurobricks post , shown in the bottom picture below: Edited July 19, 2010 by dluders Quote
roamingstop Posted July 19, 2010 Author Posted July 19, 2010 Technically Correct; but the Korean one transforms by hand... the one I posted transforms using NXT gearing and is more remote controlled. But hey - both models are great; and have good features. For child playability... the Korean one is probably best (and looks more accurate). For AFOL 'RC everything' then the second is probably more interesting... especially with the way the geared tracks work. Quote
Trincypris12 Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 (edited) Programmed using Lego Mindstorms, this adorable little creation can transform itself into a box (like the real Wall-E!), pick up and carry objects, look up and down, and even produce and respond to sounds. It can be controlled remotely or left to do things by itself. technical consulting services Edited July 25, 2010 by KimT ruined spam link Quote
