Primus Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 (edited) Front Side angle Back So, it's a rather alien-ish Power Suit type thingy. The dude's supposed to control it via some sort of wire harness, but I don't think the "cables" translated as well as I had hoped in the pictures. Oh, and the dude's removable. Aanchir Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Beautiful. I love how it feels limp and puppetlike, yet rigid enough that it could be used for heavy work (or fighting, if you're into that). The design really emphasizes that the figure inside is in complete control. I'd have preferred something like Mahri tubing for the "wires"-- they're one thing which shouldn't look limp, but should bend with some resistance like a real wire. I can see, though, that to do that you'd have to redesign a lot of the MOC so that it has an adequate frame in place to help the wires stay put. The place I'm least satisfied byy the MOC is the feet. Parts are being stressed slightly, and moreover I feel there ought to be a more balanced platform to support the weight of the mech. The extra length in the back makes it feel out-of-balance, and makes certain tasks-- such as bending over to pick up a heavy object-- seem like they would be very awkward. Brilliant work on the torso and arms, though. Great work on the whole! Quote
exxtrooper Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 This looks amazing, I can't belive this doesn't have any more replies. Personally, I like the whole model, it's very original and nothing I've seen before, the whole look of it makes a great robot cartoony look, once again great work here! Quote
