Still Raindrop Posted July 21, 2010 Author Posted July 21, 2010 Either my Kingdoms sets and Dunkan Bulk have the old pearl silver, or the new silver is extremely similar to the old. Bulk looks slightly shinier than the older silver elements, but not noticeably so. I would like to see the new silver in hand, so I could tell whether it's new or not. Quote
The Dor Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 It's not the new silver, I am comparing it to Thunder. Mark and Duncan have a silver that is very slightly different from the silver in the Glatorian Legends, but not the new shade of silver found in Thunder. Quote
Still Raindrop Posted July 22, 2010 Author Posted July 22, 2010 After comparing Bulk's helmet to the Avohkii from the Stars version of Takanuva (plus my silver Pakari Nuva and silver Pakari--though those were just for fun, to see how much has changed), I can say that this is definitely not the new silver. Bummer. Quote
80 Dollar Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Dunkan and Mark both have the new silver. I have them in hand right now. So my Dunkan is defective since I can use his parts with old silver and they look the same... I shall shout and scream for a refund. Quote
Aanchir Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 As I keep saying, if the silver is indeed just a new version of the old silver and not a brand-new color, then there's certain to be variation. Some of the parts may already have been produced by the time the "switch" to the new formula was made. It's happened before several times, hence why some 2006 sets use "light silver" and others use a silver that's pretty much the same as was used in 2004-2005. If it's a brand new color (the same way reddish brown was an entirely different color than old brown), then it's a lot more puzzling, but if it were indeed a brand new color as was claimed in the press release about the new silver many months ago, I have a feeling it would have been listed on the 2010 color palette revealed earlier this year. I could be wrong, but it just feels more likely to me that this is just a new version of the standard color #131 Silver. Quote

Not just a new version. What Dunkan and Surge have seems to be a new "version" but it's totally compatible with old silvers. The new silver is drastically different. Quote
Still Raindrop Posted July 23, 2010 Author Posted July 23, 2010 So, did I read somewhere that I'm supposed to get a green Hero Factory logo for reviewing the set? Quote
Target Head Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 I agree 100% with this review, great job! I made a revamp of him, here is a link if you want to look at it: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/282020 Quote
ShadowWolfHount Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Like with Breez, Bulk is a alright set. The Chest Armor and Helmet is not the best but still good, his arm gun looks great and also my 2nd favorite arm gun but i still don't like the hollow in the arm. The color is great, love that the Glatorian Hand is now Silver. There nothing much i can say about Bulk but just that he is a Average set in my opinion. Quote
LegoPanda Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 i never really liked hero factory (more of a bionicle guy) but he looks like one of the better ones Quote
