It's funny, I was bored and was looking through old MOCs in this forum, and I saw several of yours. This would fit in well! It just needs some more balls, more stuff on the walls, and a bunch of kids swarming inside like a bunch of angry bees.

Thanks for comments 'CallMePie' - yeah, I have to get some soccer balls, plus make up some stock for the shelves, oh yeah make shelves as well !

That's a nice little toy store lightningtiger, good job! default_thumbup.gif Though I wish it would have been a bit bigger, so that more toys could be displayed (afterall toy stores are really huge).

Thanks 'KielDaMan' for your comments :sweet: - since another shop is going next to it, then no it won't be any bigger. To prove that toy shops are not always monster stores......

toyfront.jpg and there are even smaller ones than that like the Norwood Toyworld !

I won't forget the toys . ......I'm a conformist! everyone ! :sweet:

Oh I see, thanks for clarifying that. If it can't get any wider then maybe 'taller' with a second floor (just like in the ref. pic)?

Sadly no more updates, tomorrow yes !

Boo, more toys!!!

Anyway, very nice little MOC "lightningtiger" very similar to the referance pic.

I like the bright colour scheme you have chosen.

Suggestion, maybe you could add a flag on the roof from the picture? Or a crate outside?

So let me get this straight... you guys really do say "G'day" on a regular basis?

The store is very quaint and your labels are solid as always. it really seems to follow the basic design of the Toys R Us storefront, but yet feels a bit different. Looks like it'd look great lined up beside the City Corner. Nice work as always.

Thanks 'Lord Arjay' and 'Mr. Elijah Timms' for your kind comments (with a touch of humour !).

Now like I said more toys even brick-built ones too !

Also EVERY Aussie does say it from time to time, I beleive it's short for 'Good day' like saying 'good day to you sir/madam' on greeting someone back say a hundred or two hundred years ago. We just shorten it, because......we can !

Awesome Toyworld store mate. It appears that you based your store from LEGO set 7848. If so, I would imagine what the Toyworld truck would look like?!

Keep on bricki'n

BorgShadow

P.S. Is it just me or does the Grand Imporium 'Shpo' logo look like an 'IKEA' store?

As I promised more pictures........

Yes, we now have soccer balls.

toyworld_complete_2.jpg

Yep, toys !

Comments and suggestions are very welcome !

The finished model looks great! A pizza bar would be awesome.

Thanks 'CallMePie' and 'Dan The Brickman' for your kind words. :sweet:

The pizza bar might be a Pinky's Pizza bar (a chain very common in country South Australia).

Oh, yeah what's a toy shop without any Lego !

Lucky. I can't say G'day without sounding like a prat.

Looks great with the toys, you should build a chemist next because I say so.
