lightningtiger Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Time for another MOC everyone ! What do you all think ? Comments welcome. So as usual I say it again.....I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Belchher Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Looking good sir, nice and "real life", if you will, like all your creations. My only suggestion would be perhaps you could stick the tell-tale bulge at the upper front of the storage section to turn it into a refrigerated truck, just to be different! If you really wanted to give it that Aussie feel, you could also try and be tricky and whack a roo-bar on the front as well, given you're going for that small country town vibe. Quote

Thanks for the comment 'Belchher' - now a fridge unit eh ? I might give that some thought, a roo-bar too maybe ! I'm a conformist! 1 Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 That's a nice truck to compliment the IGA store, the white color is simple and cool, with the matching IGA logos for both truck and store. Overall, the design is just right and not overly done, I like it! Good job once again 'lightningtiger'! As you always say, 'I'm a conformist!' and keep your town MOCs coming! Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 13, 2010 Author Posted July 13, 2010 Thanks 'KielDaMan' for your kind comments - I believed in keeping it simple and real. Sure I keep the creations comming and yes, I'm a conformist! ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 13, 2010 Author Posted July 13, 2010 Thanks 'aZz' for the kind comment ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Friction Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Awesome job mate. Where do you get the stickers? Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 13, 2010 Author Posted July 13, 2010 Thanks for the kind comment 'Friction' (Oh, I forgot to welcome you to EB, good another Aussie AFOL !) - the stickers are made thanks to images from Google Images, MS Paint for sizing and printing on Photo Sticker Paper from Officeworks ! It takes a little practice to get it even half right ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote
TheWarden Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 You are an unstoppable MOCcer recently, LT. Nice work at a nice scale. I had to look up "roo-bar." Now I know what that is... Quote
sens1992 Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Hey Lightningtiger! Very nice truck, it looks great with your IGA store! Good job! Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 14, 2010 Author Posted July 14, 2010 Thanks 'sens1992', 'TheWarden' and 'Hey75' for your kind comments. Well I going to start another MOC today, so keep an eye out.....posting a.s.a.p. ! I'm a conformist! everyone ! Quote
jonwil Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Do you happen to know the brand name of the sticker paper you are using? The problem I have with my stickers is that the sticker paper I am using is not shiny in the way official TLG stickers are. Quote

Ansinc stationary is the brand from Officeworks and it comes in 20 pack 6"x4" gloss at around 14 bucks a pack. (number on the pack AUPS64) I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 That's an absolutely amazing MOCset, Lightningtiger! I really it! The design looks completely similar to an official set. To get even doors on the side of the truck is a great idea. Only two ideas for improvement: I'd add sticker(s) to the back door(s), too. And perhaps you could shorten the distance between the driver's cab and the container (to me the ditance between them looks too large). Otherwise it's perfect and a very well fitting addition to your IGA Grocery! Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 16, 2010 Author Posted July 16, 2010 Thanks 'klaus' for your very kind comments and sugguestions . ....I'm now actually planning a fridge motor to go on the box plus attaching a hand trolley too ! So look out in the next few days, it might just pop up ! I'm a conformist! everyone ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 11, 2010 Author Posted August 11, 2010 I decided to add a fridge unit since people said it needed it, so....... Comments welcome and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Friction Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I have to say that it does look more realistic. Nice job. Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 11, 2010 Author Posted August 11, 2010 Thanks 'Friction' for your comments, I'll be starting another vehicle shortly so I'm a conformist! ! Quote
