-R8- Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 This is fantastic! The dilapidated effect is rendered flawlessly - the cracks on the side of the wall and the rubble along the ground look phenomenally realistic. The leaning tower truly makes this MOC stand out and adds a completely new dimension to it. The minifigs along with all the little "Easter eggs" add a nice touch of humor too Beautiful work Quote
the Inventor Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 Great MOC, Lolas I really like the leaning tower, with those cracks and tears in the tower. The landscape around the tower is also great with all those foliage and mini figs making a campfire and collecting mushrooms. the Inventor Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 AWESOME MOC 'Lolas' - it's would be good enough for 'Seconds From Disaster' ! True the huge cracks in the walls are also flawless ! Excellent work and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Tycho McKorley Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 Great MOC! I think this is one of the best ruins I have ever seen. I love the little scenes you scattered throughout as well such as the zombie chomping down on chicken wings and the fig carrying sticks for the fire. Quote
ThatGuyWithTheBricks Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 Holy crud man you're blowing me away! All these beautiful pieces and so short time in between them! Quote
BrickClick Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 I love it The cracks in the walls are amazing! Great work! Quote
Marckeyh Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 That's amazing! The angle of the tower doesn't show up so well in your first picture. I love the minifigs you used, especially the zombie! Quote
Fires-storm Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 Wow, what a beautiful moc! The landscaping is excellent, the cracks are very well done, but what truly sells it is the Minifigs and the various scenarios going on between them Well done mate, and keep bricking Quote
castlestrike666 Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 I really do love the crack on the 4th picture! Very nice creation you have there I just can't understand why they stay so serious while their tower is sinking Quote
Ralph Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Leaning Tower: it happens when you build on rock and sand.... ;-) You can see more pictures HERE .. Fantastic work! I love the detail for "cracks" on the tower! -ralph Quote
Inconspicuous Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Spectacular! A beautiful and stunning MOC you've built here, Lolas. The ruins and cracks are impeccably executed, and the diorama has a very clean feel to it. As it's been said, the little scenes throughout are cool, but personally, I don't get how they relate to the tower. They seem a bit distracting and random. Despite that, it's very well built and eye-catching. Awesome job! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Whoa! That's a fantastic MOC, impressive work indeed Lolas! Quote
Brig. Brick Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 may be the builders have eaten those mushrooms , that's the result! wonderfull MOC! Quote
Batbrick Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 I don't often visit this forum Lolas, but you're creation here makes me regret that! The cracks and generally destroyed aspects of the building a wonderfully done, a successful accomplishment of the "good looking dilapidated" effect, which is harder to achieve than most think. The surrounding general landscapes, rocks and broken entrance really sell the look Batbrick Away! Quote
Norro Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 The cracking effect on the side is very nice. Great work! Thanks for sharing and God Bless, Nathan Quote
