Mr. Lego-builder Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 Sounds like a great endeavor! Having maintained an online blog myself about a similar subject (although not LEGO related), I can surely say that not only does it help connect my passions with the world, but also reveal emotional connections that I have never really gotten a chance to explore profoundly enough before. I'll be sure to follow your blog closely; I am looking forward to your "flavorful" nostalgic reminiscences! Quote
WhiteFang Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 It's nice to have a blog to collate your childhood memories and your thoughts as you grew up. I am sure there will be many other interesting stuff coming up. Quote

TheWarden Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Bookmarked! I was kinda in the same situation. A few years back I started to collect newer LEGO. I followed LEGO quite a bit as a child with bookcases full of built sets sitting for... like 15 years. Went back to the family house one day, and started taking them apart piece by piece and got several of the those huge zip-up (like bed-sheet size) bags. Took them home. Months of cleaning sittings later.... then weeks of sorting later (still never done) then... been able to MOC for the first time about 6 months ago. Hope you have fun with your project! Quote
gotoAndLego Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 (edited) I'm lucky in that I stored most of my sets away in the boxes which I held onto; thank god for beat up footlockers full of junk. At that point it was mostly Technic/Expert Builder, Idea Books and some Castle figs from 375, 383, and 677. My old Space and Town sets were grouped together with my older brother's bricks and you know how that kind of thing ends. He has twins now so it doesn't bother me as they will be played with. When I started playing again this is what I had... Edited July 20, 2010 by gotoAndLego Quote
