lightningtiger Posted July 10, 2010 Author Posted July 10, 2010 Thanks 'MacK' and 'Antonio' for your kind replies , 1. well there is only one cop in town so the kids could have a go I guess (keeps the guy in a job) ! 2. I'm a conformist! 'Antonio' is just a nice positive saying I use here since we all like building with bricks (Lego) just like truck drivers say Keep on trucking ! So I'll say it again............ .................................big pause ............I'm a conformist! ! Quote

That's a very original idea, never seen it before. :) PS: What Antonio ment was, you used the word 'keeping' in stead of 'bricking' Quote
SirWacky Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 (edited) Nice truck Lightning Tiger! I like the windows on the back! Edited July 10, 2010 by SirWacky Quote

dr_spock Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Nice work. You'll need the truck afterward if your town ever holds a G8/G20 Summit. Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 10, 2010 Author Posted July 10, 2010 Thanks 'dr_spock' for your nice comment - G8/G20......yeah, tear gas missiles and rubber bullets also make holes in glass ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Minifig Lecturer Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 I have to say I love this. Despite being 6 wide! Great idea also, and one I must copy :) Quote
prateek Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Great! I like the glass holder part. It's very realistic. The worker's belt is functional for sure, but it is a bit big. Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 10, 2010 Author Posted July 10, 2010 Thanks 'Calvin' and 'prateek' for your kind comments. I prefer my trucks at least 6 wide.....more detail and can carry more...plus looks more realistic (though 4 wide classic is nice for late 70's/early 80's Legotown) ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 Nice truck 'lightningtiger'! It's simple but like it a lot. I see these trucks on a daily basis (the company beside our office is a glass delivery facility) and I must your truck is just like the real thing. Great job once again! Quote
Redcross Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 Nice job on the glazier truck lightningtiger. Might I be as bold to suggest you add something to hold the glass in place as I have in my glazier truck. I think your overall solution to the angles is very good. Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 11, 2010 Author Posted July 11, 2010 Thanks 'Redcross' and 'KielDaMan' for your kind comments. My design is still a W.I.P. I guess, so I might sticker and come up with a securing system ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote
LegoSjaak Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 That toolbelt is really cool..never thougt of this way of dressing up minifigs... niceley done!! Quote
Tycho McKorley Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 This truck has a lot of detail especially considering that it's only six studs wide. Nice work. Quote
04smallmj Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 I never thought of using those pieces as a belt. Nice truck dude! Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 22, 2010 Author Posted July 22, 2010 Thanks '04smallmj', 'Tycho McKorley' and 'LegoSjaak' for your kind comments - I will actually making some adjustments to this design (the truck that is) - I consider my glazier guy with toolbelt perfect ! Again thanks for comments on our little friend - those blue buckets from 7744/7903/7637 are real handy eh ? I'm a conformist! ! Quote
04smallmj Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 I got a couple of the buckets from online PaB. I use them as panniers on my tricycle. Seems to work well! Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 22, 2010 Author Posted July 22, 2010 Yes, one the original uses from memory was a mailbag on the post bike in the early 1980's ! I should actually point out what's going to happen to my truck next, the back of the truck will be an enclosed A-frame shape just like the real one's the inspire this one - a 'Clarkson's Glass' - no, not the guy from &&%%%^ Top Gear ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote
