DLuders Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Miha2548 has designed a Technic Offroader 4x4 that has fantastic low-gear climbing abilities and a clever winch: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=435669 . He describes it as a "LEGO Technic trial-truck 4x4 with winch and 2-speed gearbox. dependent suspension on front and rear, opening hood....Perfect trial-truck....Powered by 1 PF XL; M-motor is in steering.....Winch...is connected with a drive motor. Winch with a ratchet. This thing is very usable and reliable." There are photo-sequence front axle building instructions, and a parts list for that. Quote

DLuders Posted July 12, 2010 Author Posted July 12, 2010 There may be clues about the 2-speed gearbox in Miha2548's photographs of other Trial Truck MOCs, specifically this one: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=418446 . Recommend that you surf "UP" and down all of his Brickshelf folders for clues . Quote
DLuders Posted August 10, 2010 Author Posted August 10, 2010 Miha2548 has posted additional videos of his "Challenger 2" MOC: Indoor Trial: .Outdoor Trial: Quote
Silcantar Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 A 2-speed auto gearbox is pretty simple. He may have used a modified version of one of these. Quote
