NightBat Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Does anyone on here print onto their minifigures and not use waterslide decals?? If so what's your process? I have a steady hand for drawing but it still doesn't give the precision that a computer can give, therefore making waterslide decals the way to go....BUT what if someone is VERY anti decal (I'm not)then is there a way to print onto the figure and not draw it by hand and not have it cost a small fortune to print? Asterios Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Those that are anti-decal usually are anti-paint too, as too painting some have done it, but not on alot of points either. Quote
LuxorV Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 I think this topic has already been discussed marginally in other threads, but I see no harm in one dedicated to it right now. BUT what if someone is VERY anti decal (I'm not)then is there a way to print onto the figure and not draw it by hand and not have it cost a small fortune to print? I think the real problem is the cost itself. Printing directly on the minifigs' torso is expencive and the best way to reduce costs would be to print a lot and sell them (like Arealight does). If you were to print many different designs in single copy, the price would indeed rise. You could try contacting some people who print on pins and flyers (here is a link to an Italian site I found, just to have an idea of the prices). But I'm not sure they can work with LEGO pieces and how careful the print would be . Quote
NightBat Posted July 7, 2010 Author Posted July 7, 2010 Thank you everyone for the advice! Arealights stuff is amazing!! Does anyone know how he does that? Quote
