Looking for the most sturdy leg design for small mechs

Working on a near-futuristic mech army with most mechs minifig over armor size. I've tried two different leg designs and neither are very sturdy, any ideas?

I'd recommend posting pictures of your mechs so as to better understand how big they are and what sort of leg designs you've already tried.

What legitimatealex said before me i agree with. You need to post pictures of the legs you have already been trying to build. That way i can pick a few pictures of mine to give to you as an example.

As I've suggested to others take a look at some of the mech on my flickr. The designs are easy and sturdy for most of them and are in a varity of size from mechette to medium assault size.

If you find a leg design that will work i can get breakdown pictures ofr you.
