Hail, friends!

When I was a kid, I loved playing in the water - with GIJoe, Playmobil and, of course, with Lego too!

I even designed a couple of buildings that could go underwater and others that part was meant to go underwater (I used to play in the sink, in my neighbor's swimming pool, but never in the sea - although my parents didn't have a bathtube, my granny did, and it was just great to pay with my Lego there). So one of these days I said to myself "I can't be the only one" - so here I am, posting... Did you use to play with your Lego in water, too?

And today, do you have any MOCs meant to be in the water or that are in the water? Any links you'd like to share (to your or someone else's pics)?

I personally love water dioramas - be it GIJoe, Playmobil or Lego... But it's so hard to find anything with REAL water... :cry_sad:

God Yeah.

I used to love playing with lego while sitting in the bathtub. Nowadays though I have made a few water diaromas and am actually planning a sinking boat type underwater moc.

I once filled the sink with water and put a pirate rowboat with to town citizens in the water. If you do it carefull, it floats.

I used to build boats to sail in the bathtub, sometimes I'd have naval battles which would leave giant rubble piles floating around. Lego's quite buoyant, though "The great waterfall that supplies the planet's water" known as the faucet would destroy and/or sink ships pretty quickly.

There were numerous times where I tried to incorporate water into aquarium-like creations I used to make when I was younger (though the water always used to leak through the bricks). I also used to play with some of my sets in the water, but one time that unfortunately resulted in me losing a zip line handle to the drain. :cry_sad:

I'd make this cone-shaped mountain, slide it down my prone body, and have an erupting volcano with real, hot yellow "lava"!

I used to play with Legos in water, especially with the boats and divers. And because I had two floating boat hulls from Wave Cops and Coast Watch, I used to make battleships. To be honest, I hope to get a bunch of 'new' boat hulls eventually so I can live out that childhood dream of having at least a five versus five boat battle.

i used to fill the sink and play with my legos too when i was little and even made a couple of moc submarines but couple of weeks after the paint faces on my minifigs would fade away and i stopped....i dont know if its the same with the lego minifigs these days...........anyone ever had the same problem?

I once tried making a submarine when I was very young. Little did I know then that legos are not air tight

I used to make Lego boats and submarines to play in the bathtub when I was little. Some floated and most sank like a rock. Now the only time I do Lego and water is washing dirty bricks. :classic:

Oh...brings back a terrible memory. I had a Lego box on the side of the tub, I was building and I accidently knocked it into the tub. I picked out like 100 pieces of lego and forgot to dry them off fully, They went all hard and got some kinda clorine on them because they started to brown!

Terrible day..

i rememeber when i was young, i made a house, and thought, hey i wonder what a tidal wave would do to my house.

so i filled the tub, made a giant wave at the house and it slammed straight agaisnt the wall of the tub, spent ages picking all the bits out

I can't believe nobody has commented on that. That's gross. :hmpf:
