04smallmj Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 hey everyone, this is my first time posting (deeplinking) pictures, so this is also a test for me. Please tell me if I did anything wrong regarding my post. Anyway, I wanted to share with you a car port I added onto my Beach house (4996). This is what it looked like in my town originally: The building to the left is the pizzeria. To build the car port, I had to destroy and rebuild the lower floor of the house (the top can come off). Here's the end result: And a modded small car: I'm really pleased with the end result and it fits in well with the beach house. I did think about having a sloped roof on the car port but I wasn't really sure about that. Please let me know what you think! 04smallmj oh, and I'll move the Pizzeria further over to the left soon... Quote
Derek Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Very nice! The red might be a little overbearing, but other than that, its better than the original, I think! Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Nice MOD '04smallmj' - very strong looking carport - the black tiled roof perfect addition so too the light above the driveway. Though I do find the patterned driveway a bit loud in red and yellow ! Great work anyway and keep on brick '04smallmj' I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Belchher Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 I like it, but given the height and location of it, why not raise it 2 more plates and expand that tiny balcony on the 2nd floor to cover the carport? You'd even have enough room to put the BBQ up there so they could snack while perving gazing at the people out on the bay. Quote
nucleon Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Color car is match with the house Red floor don't match for natural ,but the garage is so cool! Quote
04smallmj Posted June 29, 2010 Author Posted June 29, 2010 Thanks for the comments everyone. Following Belchher's advice, I have extended the balcony onto the car port: Through the binoculars: Quote
prateek Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Wow! This is much cleaner than your old version! It is integrated seamlessly into the house Quote

Blondie-Wan Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Swanky! Were you able to do this using just the bricks included with the Beach House, or did you require additional bricks from elsewhere? Quote
04smallmj Posted June 29, 2010 Author Posted June 29, 2010 Swanky! Were you able to do this using just the bricks included with the Beach House, or did you require additional bricks from elsewhere? I actually got 2 beach houses, so I used the parts from the set I never built, I did have to get a few black 1XN tiles from my collection for the balcony railings and an inverted slope. I also ran out of yellow 1X1 plates and used 1X1 round plates instead. I couldn't have done this with parts just from the beach house set because I used 3 6X12 plates and the set comes with 2. The big plate could probably be substituted for smaller plates though, and the other parts are easy to find. Quote
sens1992 Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Well done. I really like the carport! Very nice property. Quote
nucleon Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 (edited) If you move a white wall beside the house , It will clear and can see the beach. I like the balcony :) Edited June 30, 2010 by nucleon Quote

dr_spock Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Nice. Balcony over the car port looks great. I don't think I've seen red/yellow driveway before. Quote

XimenaPaulina Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Perfect! You managed to incorporate the car port very well with the beach house. Your second version is much much better. Great job 04smallmj! Quote
