kiwishark Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Gidday Since I've been following this website for a good 2 years now I reckon it's fair enough I sign up. I'm recently back from my dark ages. The yellow castle and Forestmen of my youth far in the past... though still at the folks place... and they won't let me have them... "it's for your son to play with when you bring him over" Anyway, having a little boy I suppose led to a little reliving of the old childhood and what started with an "accidental" purchase has blossomed into a passion/disturbing habit- depending on whether you talk to me or the wife Actually she's very supportive. Bought me a walking AT-AT for Father's day (not really into Star Wars though. Shhh.) Like Castle, the ol' Western and Indian theme, all things Adventurers and lately Prince of Persia. Favourite sets Dragon Fortress, Vladeks Dark Fortress. Love Brickarms. Haven't got into MOC-ing yet, though Eurobricks has made me very aware of what one can do. One day, one day. So! Hi to all! XimenaPaulina Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Welcome to Eurobricks Craig! It's nice to hear you've come out of your Dark Ages. Just like you, I've been much of a lurker the past 2 years and it's only been now that I've been active here. So hope to see more of you here in our forums. Enjoy! Quote
Cardinal Brick Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Welcome aboard! I think alot of people lurk around for a while before joining I certainly did. "Accidental" purchase you say it's funny how often that happens to us all! Hope to hear more from you and have a great time here. Quote
Blackicep8ntball Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 (edited) Yeah that's rough about the AT-AT - If you want though, just quietly send it my way and I could dispose of it for you . No really though, that's quite a thoughtful gift. My wife, like yours, has a slightly different view of Lego than I generally do, but at least its a safe hobby to have. Welcome to the forums and hopefully we'll see some of your first MOCs as you get back into the good old world of Lego! Edited June 26, 2010 by Blackicep8ntball Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 (edited) Hello and welcome to EB! Since I've been following this website for a good 2 years now I reckon it's fair enough I sign up. 2 years? It was about time to sign up.. Haven't got into MOC-ing yet, though Eurobricks has made me very aware of what one can do. Yes, there are many skilled people around here. Anyway, enjoy your time here and make sure to create some nice MOC's Edited June 27, 2010 by Admiral Croissant Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Who cares about castle? When the world came out of it's Dark Ages, it said bye-bye to castles and invented gunpowder, electricity, and an awesome movie they call Star Wars. Welcome to EB! Quote
