Just came across this, some guy has uploaded some classic lego adverts onto youtube.

Hmmm, over here in the USA I never saw any of these commercials, and I consider myself to be a heavy TV viewer. The 11-second "Lego Technic Slizers Intro" is too short and doesn't show the product very well. The "Lego Technic Control Center" commercial is pretty good; the narrator has a British accent. The "Lego Technic 8880 Super Car" commercial is very well done; it must date from 1994 when that set was released.

I took a look at those videos, yesterday. They really trigger some nostalgic feelings, as far as those I saw on TV are concerned, but all the other ones are great too. I'd really like to see even more of these, and I have a suspicion that whoever uploaded these have access to the source-material one way or another - the videos are far too high quality to be recorded from regular broadcasts.

But, really nice to have easy access to those old commercials.

Absolutely. I watched all the interesting spots and was drawn back into the old days. Very nostalgic. But, I believe there were more tv spots in the nineties or not?

Thanks for posting that, I love the 'Lego System Town Harbour'spot I remeber it being in one of the Lego Club mags back when it was first out. It nice to be able to see it again.

I've never seen these ads, because I'm from Bulgaria and in the 80's it was in the communist block. I had many LEGO sets back then when I was a kid, but I've never seen these video ads before!

the mouse one was narated by tommy cooper, and I think it is very funny
