Commodore Hornbricker Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Ha. That is cool. I love Futurama. I can never skiup past a re-run when they are on. I can't wait for the new stuff! Quote
ironjaw Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 I did not even know they began on the new series. Love Futurama Quote
Oky Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Obviously none of you have been reading the Cartoon Discussion thread where we have been discussing the return of Futurama for quite some time. That pic is a nice find though. If there is Lego in the first episode of the new season, it's off to a good start! Can't wait! Quote
Asterios Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 hmm so LEGO and flesh colored bricks are in the future Quote
roamingstop Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Just watched the first two episodes; you can it find if you know where to look. I wont give spoilers - definitely some funny laugh a-loud moments. It should make the fans very happy over the coming 26 episodes. Quote
Scorpio Posted June 23, 2010 Author Posted June 23, 2010 hmm so LEGO and flesh colored bricks are in the future Don't forget Futurama is in the year 3000+ so we won't see flesh colored bricks in our lifetime lol Quote
Dunjohn Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 I love how accurate the models are, colours aside all of the bricks and techniques are spot on. Other shows would just randomly create its own bricks or paint the eyes on, but Futurama never lets nerds down. Quote
Asterios Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Is that a bad thing? yeah since that is 1 thousand years away, can't wait that long for them. Quote

The cartoonists must be some what recent LEGO builders too since they used a cheese slopes. Quote
Oky Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 yeah since that is 1 thousand years away, can't wait that long for them. Who says they wont be released next year and just stick around that long? The cartoonists must be some what recent LEGO builders too since they used a cheese slopes. And a SNOT technique. Plus they featured Lego ın one of the movies too. So you're probably right. Good news everyone! Indeed. Quote

Dunjohn Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 I just watched them, and they are just as good as they always have been. Really? I didn't have high hopes. I felt the four movies showed that Futurama had jumped the shark badly. Quote
Forresto Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Really? I didn't have high hopes. I felt the four movies showed that Futurama had jumped the shark badly. I personally thought the first two movies were really good, then the third was kind've bad and that the fourth one was alright with a great ending. Quote
HumanPackMule Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Loved watching the premiere of the new episodes last night. The season's off to a good start. Quote

I just watched them, and they are just as good as they always have been. Loved watching the premiere of the new episodes last night. The season's off to a good start. I saw them as well and like you three I am very happy Futurama is back and, as Bender might say, "as crappy as ever"! Quote
Dunjohn Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 I personally thought the first two movies were really good, then the third was kind've bad and that the fourth one was alright with a great ending. They all had their moments (even Bender's Big Game had the Morks) but overall, they weren't a patch on the originals. I do like the first two, I've watched them more than once, but the humour just isn't of the same caliber. And the need to show every character they've ever used in the Great Green Yonder, stripping them of all context and, in the case of the characters that actually did stuff (like Mr. Wong or Leela's gang), making them behave completely out of character, meant that Futurama was heading into lame, self-referential, illogical, in-jokey Simpsons territory.
