Corvus Posted June 28, 2010 Author Posted June 28, 2010 Haha laughed out loud for this one! might steal that turret design... Go ahead! I love Star Wars Battlefront. I remember Droidekas being too powerful in the first one and then being weak in the second one. Yeah.. However, in the first one, if you managed to get right up in front of the droideka, they can't shoot you. From there you can wait until their shield goes off and shoot them point blank. But yes, that's something I've noticed with a few troops. I found it most annoying with the jet trooper, who was really fun with his EMP, 6 grenades, and extra-powerful pistol. They just didn't seem as good in the second one... but maybe that was because I got the award rifle for the regular trooper, making all the other troops pretty worthless. Quote

For the droideka, the official strategy guide suggests jumping on top of and then over it, because you can circle-strafe around a droideka, which has problems turning. I prefer Method #2: Run at it and drop mines everywhere. There is also the Kung Fu Method: Stop trying to copy all those different animals; mimic the chicken and run! Jet troopers: Earn the award pistol, which is essentially a small sniper rifle with single zoom scope; fly to the roof of the cloning facilities on Kamino; and have fun shooting at troops who can't shoot back! Award Rifle: I don't like it as much as the assault rifle, because even though it has a burst of fire, it's semi-automatic and takes longer between shots. Strafing? No. Mowing down multiple troops in a tunnel? Nope. Spraying a plaza with random bolts? Uh-uh. Quote
Rinconstar Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 (edited) I've had legendary on all the award for a couple of years now. My little brother always asks to play and loves to kill himself. 1200+ enderances, just for the sake of bragging, I can take out anyone. Edited June 29, 2010 by Rinconstar Quote

Never really found much fun in blowing vehicles up when you can just steal them instead. Quote

Once you done it 4 times, whate 30 secs and then kill yourself. Then do it again. Quote

The best is when you get a direct hit on a Rebel's foot with the secondary blaster cannon, and he'll go flying across the battlefield. The real test is to shoot down the T-47s, of course, but I'd rather prey on the weaklings who deserve to be put out of their misery. Besides, I never really used the guided missile that much in the first place. It doesn't have as much explosive power as the normal shots, and you can lock onto vehicles with the normal missile launcher anyways. While you 'fly' the guided missile, your character's just a sitting duck for snipers. Quote

Brickdoctor Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Guided missiles have boosts though and can be just as powerful. Ive never got shot while flying a missile. Point conceded. Nevertheless, it's too much trouble. I much prefer sniping to blowing up vehicles. Although, admittedly, sniping with guided missiles is twice the fun. Quote
