DLuders Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 "Blakbird" has made outstanding renders of many official Lego TECHNIC Sets, and posted them on his Brickshelf folder http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=372132 . He has 50 different sets rendered on that website (some of which appear below). He wrote, "Renders of Technic models -- Please feel free to send me more MPDs for anything I have not rendered. blakbird11.nospam@comcast.net ." Many of the renders appear on his benchmark "Technicopedia" website http://www.ericalbrecht.com/technic/ . If you have a digital model file for a Technic set, he could probably convert it. His work is impeccable. 8862: 8868: 8880: Blakbird, I know that there are sets made with LDD in the "Technic" category of Post #1 of EB Topic http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=41226&st=0&p=727293entry727293 . More LDD models are being added all the time.... Quote

Actually, there are about 50 just on the first page, but there are 3 more pages if you scroll forward, so there are almost 200 Technic renders. One is running right now! Plastic Nurak Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 Eric, I use Sergio Reano's SR 3D, it's right? Do you need some medium-little model of second half of Nineties? Quote
Blakbird Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 Eric, I use Sergio Reano's SR 3D, it's right? Do you need some medium-little model of second half of Nineties? Yes, I can read SR3D files. They should be compatible with MLCAD. If you look through the Brickshelf folder, I am basically interested in anything I have not already rendered. My goal is to render every Technic model, and of course I also use those files in the preparation of my Technicopedia. Quote
DrJB Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 (edited) I could not find BlakBird's recent thread requesting MPDs ... but while browsing bricksafe for his (amazing) renders, I noticed the 8450 was not there ... I have a 90% complete LXF if anyone can make it into LDR/MPD. The missing parts (panels) are not available in LDD. http://www.eurobrick...pic=79234&st=25 Edited December 10, 2014 by DrJB Quote

However, I cannot use LDD files, only LDraw files. The conversion does not work reliably. In addition, I'm not including the Cybermaster stuff in Technicopedia at this time so I don't need 8450. Thanks for the offer though! Quote
DrJB Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Thank you, that's exactly the thread I was looking for. A side question: Is there a way (within eurobricks) to tag few threads and make them your 'favorite' and available anytime you log in? Quote

Not that I know of, but you can "follow" a thread and be alerted any time there are new posts in it. Quote

Just save the link as a favorite in your explorer, that may be your best bet to keep favorites organized. I started doing that with both eurobricks and bricklink :) Edited December 11, 2014 by 750ACE Quote
