I just bought a racegame of the net, normally I would play these type of games on my playstation. But since I got a top end pc, I want to play it on that. So I thought let's buy a gamepad/controller, cause steering and stuff sucks when doing it with keys. When looking around I saw a couple that I liked; like a wired/wireless xbox 360 one, any difference between wired/wireless in reaction time? I also saw a few that looked like playstation controllers.

Are there any that you guys recommend?

You might want to check out Saitek. They make nice controllers. I have one, and what impressed me was the rumble. It works wonderfully, and you can customize everything with its own software (i.e. dead zone, button sensitivity)

The XBox 360 Controller is a very good choice. Its ergonomical and gives you a lot of buttons to assign to the game. But remember, its REALLY heavy and doesnt fit small hands well.

The Logitech Rumble Pad 2 might be a good option for you. Its not that large, not that heavy, has the same amount of buttons - It only lacks the "games for windows" support, but thats a rather small disadvantage.

If its possible for you to get the "Logitech Chillstream" somewhere it would be a good compromise. It has the same layout as the x-box 360 controller but gives you a smaller and lighter case, also comes with the "games for windows" support (again: a really small advantage and only for games with the "Games for Windows" Badge!).
