Deviet Posted June 20, 2010 Posted June 20, 2010 The entrance to a small Black Knight fort. See more on my Flickr page. Quote
Admiral Ron Posted June 20, 2010 Posted June 20, 2010 Very nice! I love the gate and the general feel of it all! One thing i might change would be the cross section of the bridge, it looks like it is broken on the inside, which might not be good when your army marches out Anyway, great job! Quote
ProducePrincess Posted June 20, 2010 Posted June 20, 2010 It's very nicely made. Reminds me of the wolfpack tower in its colour scheme. The tiles for detail in the walls is a clever way of avoiding the big grey wall syndrome ,where did you see it before or was it your idea? Good job sire Quote
RoryoCox Posted June 20, 2010 Posted June 20, 2010 Very nice. I like the landscape and the main gate. I always meant to build a castle in parts and this would be a good start. Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 20, 2010 Posted June 20, 2010 Nice MOC and I understand the odd pieces under the bridge, that's rock's sticking out of the ground right ? Gate is simple, the towers are nice in an evil way with all that black with light bluey grey to break it up. Do I detect a hint of Ninja in this ? Great work and keep opn bricking 'Deviet' I'm a conformist! ! Quote
LuxorV Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 Very well done MOC, Deviet. I particoularly appreciate the details like the rocks under the bridge and the grey plates in the wall to break its plainess (I may keep this technique in mind for future creations) Quote
Deviet Posted June 21, 2010 Author Posted June 21, 2010 Thanks allot guys ! Before I took out my childhood LEGO, I was extremely fascinated with all the castle creations. Lots of them used tan, dark tan, dark grey and sand green bricks in between the big grey walls, that's where I got the idea. I'm working mostly with a 90's color palette, so there isn't to much choiche. Yes, the bricks beneath the bridge are meant to be rocks sticking out, and I think it looks not that good. Problem easily solved with some other shades of grey, wich I almost don't have. Again, some lessons learned for next MOC's ! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 Love the attention to detail. Welcome to EB! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Nicely done Deviet! A lovely MOC I must say. I also like how you did the bridge, what I particularly like is the stoney pavement outside the gate (just right after passing the bridge) - it's a simple detail but very realistic. Quote
