BrickMan7 Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Wow! Looks like another great year for LEGO Star Wars. Excited about the snowtrooper battle pack, perfect for making a snowtrooper army! Quote
Ras 74 Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 @ YG-49, Skipper 42, lightningtiger:No! It is not real obviously. There is no Speeder for instance, right? I also saw this for along tima ago. Would be fun to FP it though and say it is Quote

To be honest I think I missed the news about the Snow Speeder. Quote
Big Cam Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 That is the actual set!! Where did you found that pic? Really?Because there will be alot of unhappy and happy nerds of you are Even though you have seen it, that couldn't be it. First, Luke is yellow. Second the Wampa is just a yeti. (And has no horns.) Third, has LEGO ever sold a set where a skeleton minifig wasn't assembled? (And it's the old skeleton too.) Sadly that ice cave looks like a MOC to me and the cave is a bit on the small size. Also the freco speeder - impressed I'm yes - me sounding a little Yoda-ish. Oh come on guys, none of you really thought that old MOC was a enw set did you?? Luke was yellow, and it was poorly put together. I know none of you are that gulible. Quote
Kaitan Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 I find it really bizarre that TLC decided to put a snowspeeder in the Wampa Attack set instead of a Tauntaun. At least the Wampa interacted with a Tauntaun in the film. We don't see a snowspeeder until Luke and Han are rescued the next morning, with not a Wampa in sight! Ah well, who am I to question their logic? Kaitan I was looking forward to another tauntaun .... Quote
Sajer Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Wow. The new pics do look awesome. And regarding the emperor's shuttle, do anyone think there is a possibility of getting those blue commando guards from the venator set? Hopefully a much cheaper way to obtain those figs. Quote

Hopefully a much cheaper way to obtain those figs. I doubt it. From what we've heard, it seems the set will be based on ROTS. This means it will probably include the red Royal Guards and/or shock troopers. Edited November 20, 2009 by ADHO15 Quote
simonjedi Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 This might interest someone. Found on YAKFACE.COM. Rumoured new packaging for 2010. Quote

And I didn't see the difference between the emperors shuttle and the imperial shuttle. My apologies to KimT, whom I seem to have offended. ;) Quote
CommanderFox Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Haha Nice try Ras! you wont fool me that easily. I kinda hope they do include the Blue Senate commando's in the shuttle, as i didn't get the Venator and this hopefully will be a cheaper way to buy them. @ KimT and Big Cam, I don't think any kid would know the difference between Veers or a normal imperial officer CommanderFox Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 This might interest someone.Found on YAKFACE.COM. Rumoured new packaging for 2010. It's quite an interesting design, but it's not offical yet. One wonder why just a single clone, but the lightning behind him makes me think of one person - Palpatine ! Clone wars series on television turns towards the darker side of Star Wars heading straight towards ROTS, it's what I've seen in a few new episodes on Youtube as Cartoon Network in Oz won't show the second season till next year. That website didn't work for me. I hope NZ doesn't do what you say Oz is doing (not showing season 2 till next year) I can't wait another 6 months Oh well. I hope we get a new ROTS palpi for the shuttle, not the CW one as he looks very....odd. A nice new one that has a good Face decal with wrinkled skin that is from when Mace fought him, would be Great! mattlegodude Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 These will happen. Every set rumor I've heard has been true. Something is always in LEGO's future sets to be excited about. Quote
Darth Legolas Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Oooh, now I'll have two snowspeeders! And with my new-gotten AT-AT, I've pretty much got a completed hoth. I can see why a speeder is put in. There could still be a Taun-Taun, not likely though, but I have 2! Now you can reenact that scene of his rescue too! My minifig guess would be: Luke Wampa Taun Taun (??) Han Solo(?) And maybe Rogue 2 or whoever it was that rescued them both. I also doubt Lego will use that new packaging in the summer. It seems like it's better suited only for hasbro or kenner toys. Quote

I'd guess that will be the mini figure list, would like a ghost Obi wan as well though. I still don't get how people can think there will be a snowspeeder in the set. Quote
ShockZap Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 I was readin my visual dictionary the other day, and in the interview it shows a picture of the minifig drawer. If you look closely, you see a blue-green classic hairpiece(Obi-Wan and Jedi Luke). Maybe it's for a ghost Ben? Of coarse, it could be that my book was printed badly. Quote

hollisbrick Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Could it be that kids don't care wether or not it's Veers in that BP?For them he's just another Imperial Officer and perhaps that fig's just that. I completely agree with you. Many FOL wont care if it is Veers. Use your imagination for crying out loud! Quote
Big Cam Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 That kind of drives home my point. LEGO knows that making that character specifically Veer's wouldn't be worth it nor make any sense. Quote
bamaker Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 For the AFOLs in the US, when do the Star Wars winter sets traditionally begin showing up? If I remember correctly, the 2008-2009 winter sets didn't show up until after Christmas. I recall finding the Darth Vader TIE Fighter during the post-holiday sales. Quote
Ras 74 Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Ras said it. That is correct, and thanks! And once again, no Taun-Taun. Go bye another Hoth set, it is well worth it. We actually might never again have the chance when that set is gone. Well there is BL, but my guess is that they will go UP in price, not DOWN the longer you wait. Just like Wattos junkyard Quote
JCC1004 Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Ras, did the Snowspeeder look as good as the one included in 7666? I hope TLG didn't cut back on it and screwed it up. I am absolutely thrilled about a Snowspeeder included in Wampa Attack. I wasn't able to get 7666 sadly. Quote
