ADHO15 Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Aayla Secura and Barriss Offee? Yes sir! No pics needed really @Ras: Thanks for that info! If it has Aayla and Luminara in it, then I'll buy it no doubt, even two new Jedi make it worth it. Can't wait to see pics. It doesn't have Luminara Unduli in it. Quote
Big Cam Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Why are you saying it if it is not a CW R2 unit, it is not CW? Remember the Endor Bunker? That had the CW design. Just because R2 has different printing patterns doesn't mean it is purposefully different.Besides, if it is based on ROTS why does it have Kit Fitso in there? Again with the ROTS On the last page Palin jax said the same thing Are you and Palin jax refering to something besides the Return of the Jedi movie that we are all talking about???? Quote

Ras 74 Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 It doesn't have Luminara Unduli in it. That would have been so sweet if it did as well since we only got the LUL version. Quote
ADHO15 Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 (edited) That would have been so sweet if it did as well since we only got the LUL version. Three 'new' Jedi in one set would be outstanding, but much more unlikely! I have the LUL figure, and I think it certainly looks the part, it's just the inconvenience of her being LUL. An identical but normal fig sometime would be great, but I wouldn't mind if there was a CW version instead... perhaps in a Geonosis-based set. Edited November 16, 2009 by ADHO15 Quote
Wout Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Oh boy, another move from lego to let me buy a big vehicle which I'm otherwise not very interrested in. I hope there will also be a bunch of clones and droids (a not quite common RxDx droid would be also nice) added to this set, but I will buy this set for the lovely jedi ladies Bariss Offee and Aayla Secura and not the big battle car. Besides; If you try buy only the figs they are as expensive as the whole set. Thank you very much Ras 74 for the information. It is good that TLC puts Kitt Fisto in another set, so he's not that exclusive. Quote
Rayman Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Two new Jedi? Sounds pretty exciting indeed. I suppose TLC is aiming for something like the Republic Attack Cruiser set with two completely new figures - Palpatine and the senate guard. Quote
starwarsfanatic Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 TLC does insert random minifigs, the hyperdrive boosterring set also included Kit Fisto, but the Jedi Starfighter was Obi-Wan's starfighter, not Kit Fisto's, he was just an addition to the set... The Starfighter wasn't Obi-Wan's. In the film, his is destroyed on the Invisible Hand, and he borrowed the Starfighter of a Jedi whose identity remains unknown (at least to me - I've never read/heard/seen any EU material) and who could well be Fisto. ON TOPIC A CTT with two new Jedi would be great, but why does everyone seem so convinced that it is CW? The Brickset entry for the ARC said it was CW, but pictures seem to point in the direction of it being ROTS. Quote
Forresto Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 ON TOPICA CTT with two new Jedi would be great, but why does everyone seem so convinced that it is CW? The Brickset entry for the ARC said it was CW, but pictures seem to point in the direction of it being ROTS. Mainly because the CTT was featured somewhat prominently in the Clone Wars Season premiere. This is'nt confirmation because the same arguement for the ARC being ROTS can be also used for the CTT, but for now still speculation. To be honest I hope that the CTT is larger but comes only with republic forces. I would rather an extra clone then 3 battle droids. I loved the first CTT so this new one which seems to be coming with extra new jedi makes the deal sweeter for me! I think that they should do the super tank to be honest. It would be cool becuase it would feature nice playability options, interesting pieces to get the right shape but also could come with some geonosians and battle droids. Besides the fact that the tank is supposed to be nearly " invincible " , It's a cool design for a ship. How or who gave a confirmation on the CTT anyways? From the way people are talking it seems like there's been pictures found of it. Quote

It seems KimT and Ras74 have seen pictures as they seem to know what the set will include, to a certain extent. Quote
Forresto Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 It seems KimT and Ras74 have seen pictures as they seem to know what the set will include, to a certain extent. How though is my question. I personally would love to see the pics. Oh well I guess we'll just have to wait until better pics I guess Quote
Mraz Skintas Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 The Starfighter wasn't Obi-Wan's. That was actually Aayla Secura's fighter. Whoa, how did I miss that. I'm sure I woulda gone crazy if I saw that the first time. Two new Jedi.... that's definitely the selling point for me. Thank you Ras for the info. -'Skintas Quote

Big Cam Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Oh the joy of being a Mod! In this case, I think it was their location that paid off, they likely saw them in person at an event. (my speculations) Quote
The Who Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 (edited) Also the new printed head with visor will be used for other pilots is a guess.Like for instance a new Snowspeeder pilot to a Wampa cave. So they are not just black heads, but actually fleshy heads with prints that resemble those of the old Scout Troopers? Is that an 'official' word on the snowspeeder, or just an example?Oh well I guess we'll just have to wait until better pics I guess Better? How could pictures get better if we haven't even seen them yet? Edited November 17, 2009 by booger540 Quote
Tyleraf Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Ras: Is the CTT Clone Wars or Episode 3? Quote
Clone OPatra Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 So they are not just black heads, but actually fleshy heads with prints that resemble those of the old Scout Troopers? Is that an 'official' word on the snowspeeder, or just an example? There were never black heads on Snowspeeder pilots (who were always Luke and smiley Dack), and the picture of the ARC shows that those pilots don't have black heads, so I don't understand what you mean. Both KimT and Ras have said that there will be a Snowspeeder with the Wampa cave (or at least hinted at it), so I'll take that as an official word. By the way KimT and Ras, are all of those non-January (Slave I, Wampa Cave, CTT…) sets some kind of Spring release, or did they really already have awesome pics of a summer wave? Quote
Stash2Sixx Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Remember, don't be angry if "specific, trustworthy" people say they have seen pictures. They may not reveal their sources in order to protect the ones that have shared the information. Believe it or don't, the choice is up to you. Just hang in there, it's almost 2010. Quote

Mission Commander Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 OMFGZ! Those are awsome sets!!! Great job Lego. Quote
Corvus Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 I find it funny that they went to the trouble of adding the 'commander' spots on the rocket droid. They'd have been so much more useable on a standard battle droid.. but oh well. For the record, those are Episode III troopers. Ask around, Phase II. helmets are not in the Clone Wars tv series, so why would they be here? True, it isn't the best picture, but those pilot helmets have to mean something. Every set in the Clone Wars series has been fro the TV show or movie. The ARC hasn't been yet, and nor has the Tri-Fighter. Plus, it will be the 5 year anniversary for Episode III. So why not? EDIT: The answer will all be solved in the Droid. Clone Wars droids have printed silver markings to the left of their eyes, and regular new droids don't. Look at the CW R2 and the Death Star R2. If we can get a better picture of the droid, we'll have our answer. And there's the best reasoning for ROTS. Thanks- I honestly didn't think about the helmets. However, with the CW being what it is, and the way it's been trampling over a lot of timeline and other things, I can't really say. Either way, it's nice to get the helmet. I really thought that news of 2 new Jedis in the CTT would get a bit more attention I knew of one.... But not of Bariss. Sweet. Still, I think I would have preferred a newer clone design, like Bly, because clone helmets are so much harder to apply printing onto than just a head. Quote
Cloney Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Amazing pics Pi, thanks! I love the rocket battle droid commander and Thi-Sen. Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 As I look at those pictures, I also am watching the episode of Clone Wars with the Freeco Speeder in it. Pretty dam close to the one in the cartoon. I will be getting one these for sure. Quote
YG-49 Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 On the Freeco! The old ice-pick pieces. And is that a Republic insignia printed on the hood? Great! Also worth note is that Anakin isn't smiling! If you look closely, he has a serious expression on his face! OMG! The Rocket Droid commander is absolutley AMAZING! Quote
